Convenient location being just a short drive to perisher (or guest shuttle). The food was good on the whole (particularly in the bar and grill) and really convenient for families. Reliability of hot water was a problem though and if I can't have a hot shower after coming back from a day skiing that's a deal breaker.

Room Tip: shower outside peak times if possible

Ski Rider delivered the goods as usual. My friend and I have been coming here for many years. Basic clean warm room, good food at the grill and friendly polite and efficient staff. What more could you ask for. ..fresh snow perhaps.

I’ve been staying at the ski rider for 25 years and nothing has changed in that time. This is NOT a bad thing! They have a module that works. It’s no frills accommodation but the beds are comfortable and the rooms warm. The showers are usually hot but our stay this time they were a little colder at times which surprised us. There does need to be a little bit more pro active Maintenance of the rooms. We had the mirror in our bathroom fall off the wall at 1am in the morning. It was just stuck on with some double sided tape! It’s lucky no one was seriously hurt. When we notified reception, there was no real concern from them about our safety or apology, which was disappointing. They did send someone to fix it within a couple of hours.
The food on offer is always good. The grill in the front bar is always our preferred option but there were a couple of nights we had to eat in the ‘restaurant’. It was okay, but far from gourmet.
We hired boots and skis for the kids and as usually the guys in the shop were helpful and efficient.
The shuttle to and from the slopes is great, especially when you can’t be bothered fitting chains on bad weather days.
Overall the staff were great. Service with a smile 99% of the time.
You get what you pay for and this place is value for money when it comes to snow accommodation.

Thank you for providing us with a five star review following your recent stay with us. We are very pleased that you continue to choose Ski Rider as your snow holiday destination.

We do apologise that your bathroom mirror was not fixed securely to the wall. It is very unusual that the mirror fell off. Please be assured that your safety and enjoyment of your stay is always of upmost concern and if this was not conveyed to you when saw reception, we are extremely sorry.

We look forward to seeing you again for your 26th year.

We cut our 3 night stay short. It was terrible!!!! The beds are so hard. The bathroom very small. I would hate to be a bigger set person. The walls are paper thin we could hear snoring from next door. When the neighbors came in later at night we could hear every word they said. It was like they were in our room with us. We picked the restaurant dinner.... yuck!!! Was like basic roast. Definitely get the grill it is way better!!!! In all I would say get anywhere else it was a disaster!!! Oh 1 more thing make sure you get there 10 min before bus is due to leave to get a seat.

Thank you for taking the time to share a review with us following your stay.

I was disappointed to read that you cut your trip short as Ski Rider had fallen short of your expectations. For this, I do apologise.

We have many guests who enjoy their time at Ski Rider and who stay with us repeatedly. We make it a priority to ensure that all our guests enjoy all aspects of their snow holiday, however I do appreciate that Ski Rider is not suitable for everyone.

I would have liked the opportunity to discuss your needs with you prior to your early departure. If I had known that you were so unhappy I would have liked to somehow rectify your disappointment, or at least we would have been in a position to assist you to find alternative, more suitable accommodation.
