We had a fabulous weekend at Barrakee - wished it could have been longer! Rick and Les are warm and welcoming hosts, along with their amazing team Terry and Peter, Dani and Joel and Ailie, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Every meal was beautifully presented and tasted great. Schnappy hour was a great way to end the day after skiing! A fun time all round!

Room Tip: Rooms on the Valley side have great views

The Lodge was spotless, the staff were friendly, obliging and social - nothing seemed too much trouble, it is in a quiet area with amazing scenery. Breakfast was delicious, best porridge ever and each dinner course was a culinary delight full of surprise. The bed was sooo comfortable What an uplifting experience. Thank you

My son and I had a great time at Barrakee. Rick and Les are the new owners and have even improved what already was great accommodation. Them along Terry and the super start cook Peter made us feel like we were with family. Dinners are very high quality and the place is very social. We had a great time.
Price is higher than other lodges, but the meals and the cozy and friendly feel are worth the extra

Wow! As a foodie my ski trips have always been a weekly dip in enjoyable culinary activites. However Barrakee blew this experience away with stunning flavours, variety, and presentation through five three-course dinners; standard fare with booking accommodation.

The room and shared lounge had sufficient heating and amenities.

Lodge location is good for intermediate and advanced skiers as you can ski from and to the door. Beginners can hop on the twice-a-morning/afternoon lift to/from the front valley.

Our only hiccup was not being informed about the alcohol policy prior to arrival. Hence we turned up with a few bottles of wine only to be told that they couldn't be stored in the fridge due to their alcohol licence, and then told on departure that we shouldn't have brought them.

Thanks Sam, great feedback, really appreciate it. We especially love such fantastic comments about our food. Our kitchen brigade go the extra distance in trying to bring a high standard of dinning to Barrakee Ski Lodge. The accolades we have received this season for service and dinning are reflective of our hard working and dedicated Team.
So sorry we had a hiccup with communication regarding our licensing regulations. We apologise for any inconvenience. We look forward to seeing you back and I (Peter) will personally buy you a drink to help make up for it!
