Wow, was not expecting views that amazing. So beautiful and peaceful. Nice to know it's an off leash area for dogs to!

Busy area, great views, good parking, the following morning watched the sun rise from here, there seem to be a walkway on the other side of the car park saw lots walking dogs/running didn't have time to explore.

We were looking for a nice beach away from Merimbula's main beach and found Short Point Reserve. The Back Lake is closed off by sand so it's an easy walk along the beach all the way to Tura if you want. Clean sand and water and excellent views with toilet blocks and plenty of parking.

Lots of birdlife go past, the odd seal too, and plenty of rocks / rock pools to explore. Great views in every direction.

Lots of car parking that gives access to the beach via a set of stairs or to Short Point. There are toilets in the car park. The Short point area is a large dog off leash area of green grass. We stopped and had our picnic looking out over the beach. The grass eventually turns into rocks at the point and it is great to clamber around getting out near the sea. Great views from the point, worth the easy walk from the car park for the view alone.
