Coral and fish varieties are spectacular. Again the coral is just a few metres from the beach. There are gutters where swimmers can enjoy a sandier sea floor.

Fish feeding is a MUST activity. There's a
$1 slot machine in the beachside shed that provides the fish food. Simply stand on the waters edge and you'll soon be surrounded by hungry / greedy fish. There is quite a feeding frenzy. Forthe more fun loving adventurous folk best to stand waist deep and feed the fish. It's fun to feel the fish swarming around your body!

There's also hire equipment at the beach shed. Seems an honesty system.... pay for what you need.

Our snorkelling group enjoyed 2 x 1 hour visits to Neds Beach.

Toilet facility and BBQs are at Neds Beach. Toilet is compositable type.

Can be windy as beach is on the east windward side of the island.

We enjoyed spending time at Ned's particularly to feed the fish. Make sure you take $1 coins to get your fish feed. Go to the end of the beach and enjoy feeding the fish of all different varieties. It's a great photo and video opportunity too. The white sands and beautiful clean blue water of Ned's Beach make it the perfect place to swim and also snorkel visit while on the island. They also offer a fantastic service of having everything you need for snorkelling via an honesty system which is refreshing and typifies the amazing place that Lord Howe Island is!

a great place to hang out - you can rent chairs and umbrellas if you want to stay for a while, and there are BBQ facilities and covered tables to eat at. The water is so clean, calm and clear - the fish are super friendly.

Lovely bay with great coral and fish. Lots of rock pools and plenty of birds nesting. A short bike ride from the village gets you there.
