Pinetrees Lodge at Lord Howe Island was the perfect base for our holiday. It was worth every single cent. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, light and airy. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful from the moment you step off the plane. We chose the adventure package and oh my goodness we were not disappointed. Yoga every morning with the delightful Alex on the deck looking up to Mt Lidgard and Mt Gower, cycling everywhere, amazing swimming, snorkeling and hiking! Every morning at breakfast you would get a list of suggested activities. The locals really know where to head on the island based on the wind and conditions for the day. We had 9 days and were so blessed with the weather. The food was amazing and we loved the picnic and BBQ options. There was absolutely nothing we could fault. Pinetrees is a family business and we loved the old fashioned values mixed with contemporary food and hospitality. Dani and Luke certainly know what they are doing. We will be back for sure!

Covid has been terrible except for our holiday at pine trees lord howe island. We did not mind that the airfares could have competed with a flight to rome as we could not go to rome. And then the magnificence of a holiday less than three hours from hone was revealed.
Truly worth every cent. Pinetrees food and accomodation was amazing but the dinners were so gourmet i begged for recipes and they gave me a cookbook
The lunches were delivered to a world heritage beautiful location of our choice in an esky woth tablecloth thermos fire starters and wood bbq there to cook up a feast ( or other options)
Its a spectacular location and pinetrees is a wondrous experience
Definitely going back

We really appreciated the balance Pinetrees struck combining modern healthy meals with friendly old-world charm, including the absence of internet. Instead of being online we played board games, lawn games, bowls with the locals, rode bikes, hiked, swum, read books, attended seminars and music nights and generally enjoyed each others' company. Great therapy at the best located hotel on the island.

Pinetrees Lord Howe Island is a special place. The combination of stunning landscapes, forests, coast and coral lagoon with peaceful accommodation and superb food is unique. Throw in a friendly, bike-riding, laid-back vibe, unique wildlife, exhilarating walks and snorkelling for good measure. Treasures memories and a plan to return!

We had 5 nights at Pinetrees in March 2021. This was our first visit to Lord Howe Island. The resort is located opposite the beach, a 5 minute bike ride or 15-20 minute flat walk into town. The service is amazing, the staff are so friendly and very proud to be working at Pinetrees. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourselves, allowing time to chat with their guests about their daily adventures.
The food is AMAZING. The selection is varied, its defiantly fine dining at its best in a casual atmosphere. They offered an excellent selection of wine at very reasonable prices as are their cocktails.
The other thing that impressed us was our Pinetress were taking steps to be carbon neutral, it is a very eco friendly resort.
Breakfast is served to your room which is great as you can sit in your robe (which is provided) on you verandah and eat at your leisure.
We loved the packed lunches which they include and the best part is they will drop off a picnic hamper wherever you choose to eat your lunch, Nothing is missed, tablecloths, utensils, condiments, fresh fruit and sweet treats to finish off with.
The rooms are quite small (but there is too much to see and do outside) so that wasn't an issues and we actually spent most of the time on our verandah watching the birds and wildlife go by.
We were initially concerned there was no WIFI but in actual fact for a few days it was nice to escape.
We would highly recommend a stay at Pinetress and we hope to visit again soon.
