Just returned from a wonderful 4 day mini break staying at The Blue Lagoon Lord Howe Island.
The best position as you can walk a couple of mins to the lagoon and the jetty with a store and excellent takeaway next door. Night bus provided to dine out in the evening and pick up and return to airport included. Friendly helpful owners provide a clean and comfortable room.

Simple, comfortable and the perfect location. These words best sum up the Blue Lagoon.

It really has the best position on Lord Howe Island being a 1 min walk to the shops, 2 mins to Lagoon Beach and the boatsheds and 5 mins to Ned’s Beach.

The rooms are basic but are clean, tidy and functional. The bed was comfortable, barbeques clean and all the amenities worked as they should. I’d give the paid wifi a miss though as it doesn’t work very well but then again that is part of the charm of LHI.

Everyone was also super helpful and nothing was too much trouble for Craig, Brian, Karen or Janine.

We spent 7 nights at the Blue Lagoon in early March. It had everything we needed - large room, comfortable bed, great little balcony and kitchenette with all necessary crockery and cutlery. A wonderful BBQ area was just outside our door plus bikes were available for hire. The grounds are immaculate and the management and staff very friendly and helpful. However, the best feature was the location - easy walking distance to Lagoon and Ned's Beach (both great for swimming and snorkelling and protected by the reef so they are both very calm). Next door is Thompson's store for most things you might need, The Anchorage restaurant is virtually across the road - great for coffee, cake, fresh bread and lunch salad rolls etc, etc and the Post Office a couple of minutes walk. All of the water activity tours and equipment hire are located at Lagoon Beach - a 400 metre walk from our room's front door. When we come back we will definitely book our accomodation here.
