My Partner and I recently stayed at the new Peppers Salt Resort & Spa in Kingscliff on the North Coast of NSW.

What a fantastic place. From the moment we arrived, we were in heaven. The staff were welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was far better than I could have hoped. The modern decor was fresh and very stylish. Perfect for the beach side location. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the central park and views down to the ocean.

There were lots of things we could do through the resort, or you could just sit back and relax by one of the pools. This would be a great place to go with a group or family. We noticed when booking that there were 2 & 3 bedroom suites available.

For us, it was perfect for two. I was extremely impressed by the sensational dining at Roughie’s Restaurant & Bar. The meals we had could only be described as divine. The Golden Door Spa had not opened at the time of our stay, but I will be checking it out soon. We will definitely be going back to treat ourselves to another few days of luxury.

Having had a wonderful stay at Peppers in Port Douglas, I was looking forward to my stay at this resort but I was sadly let down. First off they didn't have my booking after having confirmed twice by e-mail, the staff then made us wait for over an hour for them to discover a room that wasn't finished for us to stay in.
Then, after the promise of the room booked to ready in the morning, we headed off for the day. When we returned at 4 in the afternoon we had to have another hour wait at front desk for the room, which we get in and it's quite nice. 5 mins later a knock on the door from maintenance people telling us to leave because the pluming needed looking at. So that was it,I was off to see the manager, an experience like going to see the teacher who thought you where a bit dumb. It was an absolutely appaling experience so we left the next day to stay at the Marriott which was great. I don't think I will ever choose to stay at a Peppers resort again.
