“Enjoyed another stay at Peppers Salt Beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2012

We recently stayed at Peppers Salt Beach for 4 nights and got a very competitive rate including breakfast which, by the way my teenage boys were amazed with! We requested a room away from the large pool which we duly received and we were very grateful of. The resort has great facilities and the location is lovely with easy access to great restaurants nearby (Fins is our favourite). The units are furnished the same but the maintenance is starting to get behind with issues starting to appear (tiles, water staining in the bathroom and doors sticking etc) - overall they still look very good.

We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Room Tip: If you don't like noise get a room away from the large pool.

Dear Andre M,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your recent experience at Peppers Salt Resort and spa.

I'm pleased to read that you and your family enjoyed your short break with us; and your teenage boys enjoying their buffet breakfast.

I thank you for your feedback regardijng the facilities, restaurants and the apartments, noting your feedback on the maintenance on the suites; on an annual basis each room is taken out of the letting pool for their property maintenance schedule which do attend to the tiles, bathrooms and fixtures.

Andre M, thank you once again for your feedback and we do look forward to welcoming you back to Peppers Salt Resort and Spa.

Best regards

Stayed in dual keyed apartment, the side I was in was the motel styled room, with the lap pool being shared by the two apartments, it was booked as twin share, but on arriving found that the king bed had not been split, as they were very busy with conference when asked to split the bed, they brought a rollout bed. The rollout was more confortable then the king bed. Was not impressed, also the air conditioner was a bit noisy but you cannot open the door to the lap pool without listening to the roar of the air conditioning which is connected to the room next door. The buffet breakfast was excellent, the restaurants attached to resort serviced excellent food, the resort pool has a breach area which was great for the young children to play. If I stayed again would book the one bedroom room with kitchen and sitting room, as could not stand the noise of the air conditioner .

Dear Gayle P,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your recent experience at Peppers Salt Resort and Spa.

I'm very pleased that you were able to enjoyed the buffet breakfast in Season as well as the on site dining options; I"m also very pleased that you enjoyed the lagooon pool.

I am however disapointed that your experience in the Resort room was not a positive one; per your comments regarding the noisy air conditioning unit, we are in the process of changing the design of these systems with seperate compressors for each room eliminating the noise on hte balcony of the resort room.

I also offer my apologies that the room was not twin shared prior to your arrival; I will liaise with the team to ensure that all requests are appropriately attended to prior to all guests arrivals.

Once again I do thank you for your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back to Peppers Salt Resort and Spa.

Best regards

My partner and I visited Peppers Salt Resort & Spa in September 2011. We loved it so much we are returning again in less than two months for an extra long stay. The 1 bedroom suite was clean, beautifully designed, spacious and had a fantastic kitchen with everything required. We stayed on the third level, overlooking the pool - brilliant. We had no trouble with any of the amenities or facilities in the suite. The Lagoon pool was fabulous with plenty of seating around and on the perimeter of the pool. Service at all of the facilities was outstanding. Highly recommended. I can't wait for our next visit! Thank you Peppers.

I chose this hotel because the photos looked lovely and we wanted a clean modern resort with a good sized pool.
The pool was wonderful - not too cold and because the weather was overcast but still warm, we shared the area with a couple of young families with small children. The space is big enough when the hotel is not full not sure how it would cope when full.

Our hotel room was a big let down. It was small and on the balcony we had a huge air conditioner which clicked on and off day and night - we like to sleep without an air conditioner on and with a door open but this machine made that impossible. The Air conditioner unit in the bedroom was directed at the head of the bed and the remote control did not allow you to change the speed of the fan so we had a full fan blast on our heads all night. We couldn't sit on the balcony and have a quiet drink because of this noise.

We talked to reception about it the next day however, their response was that all the hotel rooms had the unit on the balcony but if it really was an issue they would look at it for us. Thanks.
The resort overall is spacious and clean and the beds are very comfy. But be aware that it is a long way - not a quick walk into town for dinner- from Kingscliff. The restaurants on offer in Salt village are ok - but I found the surf club food much more appetising.

On departure we again mentioned the air con on the balcony and while the girl on reception made the right noises 'I'll get that looked at for you - I'm sorry it made your visit uncomfortable". but I know they won't do a darn thing about it!!

Room Tip: You get what you pay for. Be aware that the hotel rooms have a large air con unit on the balcony.

Dear LizandPaul14,

Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback regarding your recent short break to Peppers Salt Resort and Spa.

I'm pleased that you found the pool area to be wonderful, even with the resort being full the pool is always a great feature.

I thank you for your feedback regarding the air conditoning unit, I also apologise that it was on the noisy side. Please note that we are currently in the process of replacing these units with two seperate compressors to aleviate this issue moving forward. As the units fail, the owners are upgrading them with a wall mounted compressor to ensure guest comfort moving into the future.

I also thank you for your feedback on the overall resort and bedding, greatly appreciated. I do hope we get the chance tl welcome you back again in the near future to provide a more relaxing experience.

Best regards
