“Good, but not great”

With the ploethora of craft breweries these days, this one did not stand out. Had the 5 beer paddle, and only two were good, the others were just - meh.
The location on an industrial estate was also not great. I think going to a good pub would be better.

Hi Stevie,
Thanks so much for submitting your review.
Good, or not so good, we're always grateful for the feedback as it enables us to focus on any areas we can improve upon.
I'm glad we hit the mark with two of the beers you sampled. The range of beers we offer caters to a broad range of tastes so we never expect all the brews to be to one person's liking as the styles and flavour profiles are quite different.
As we're brewing on the same site we're serving from, we are restricted by zoning for our location - so while going to a good pub is never a bad idea, we hope you at least choose one that has one of the two brews you enjoyed on tap. :)
Cheers
Greg

Block n Tackle have a taste for everyone. Easy session ales to the richer darks. Try Red Lizzie for a smokey dusty delight. Sir Thomas Porter is very nice and not too rich. If they have any Frost Imperial in the bottle, get one for a treat.
While they can only do tasting paddles and takeaways, they do have a nice range of simple tasty and fresh snacks during the day and pizza at night. We're lucky to have them on the Coast.
They are a small outlet so can get swamped when a few mobs arrive - but do try them, you shouldn't miss out.

Thanks so much for the great review Grahame,

Our range of brews is something we take a lot of pride with and have developed it to cater for a wide range of tastes. From the two brews you've noted, it sounds like you have an excellent appreciation for the range of styles as the Sir Thomas Porter is malt forward, while the Red Lizzie American Amber Ale leads the way with the hops.

Thanks once again and we'll hopefully see you back again soon!

Cheers
Greg

We came here, met up with friends, tried many different beers, and had a small bite to eat.
Small enjoyable atmosphere.
Worth a sample!

(Just consider a Plan B!)

Hey Marc,
Thanks so much for your recent visit and for posting your review! We're glad you had a chance to enjoy our range of brews which was just recently expanded to 8 tapped varieties in addition to our popular Small Batch Apple Cider. As you've noted, Plan B is definitely a good option if you're up for sampling the full range!
Hope to see you again soon.
Cheers

Great little boutique brewery with a really nice range of beers. Great relaxed vibe and Al the Brewer will happily stop for a chat. Some fabulous little takeaway options in either a stylish 1L 'peeler', or a refillable 1.89L mini-keg. Refills only $22!!
A must do if you're in the area!

My wife and I visited this little brewery today. We tried a tasting paddle with 5 of the brews on offer. Without exception, the beers were top quality. To accompany our drinks, we had a mezza plate consisting of our choice of 5 of the delicacies on offer. There were local cheeses and a number of other complementary items such as olives, falafel
