The blowhole was amazing. We were there in the evening as well as in the morning. At around sunset it was more active than in the morning. The rocks there were a great activity for my kids. They got up at sunrise to go climb around and were rewarded by seeing whales and dolphins right nearby!

What a view! The blowhole itself is quite cool with the noise and spectacle of the water flying high in the air. The view is wonderful and we were lucky enough to spot some whales today. Plenty of parking, and there are shops and cafes a plenty just around the corner. Quite a few steps down to the actual blowhole and the cliffs so this bit is not particularly accessible but you still get a really lovely view of everything from the top level which is fine for wheelchairs or those with less mobility.

The blowhole is famous but you can't go close enough to it. Perhaps the waves were not big enough on the day we visited. Viewing from a distance does not give the impact it should otherwise has. The good thing is it is easily accessible and big. The Bicheno blow hole in Tasmania is more impressive because you can walk right up to the blow hole and get wet if you want to.

kiama blowhole is a natural phenomenon. if the tide is high, it does a spectacular high blow. when we reached kiama tide was low, so it wasnt happening, but the next day was great.
