Excellent museum for the whole family. Self-guided tour around the buildings. Take your time. Lots of interesting curios and stories.
Old school building and its classroom will be popular with kids.
Fascinating insights into the challenges and lives of the early settlers.
There is also a covered picnic table. Perfect for the day-out.
We spent a few hours here , it was so worth it with a lots to learn about early pioneer life in the valley , throughly enjoyable and highly recommended .
Self guided tour around old buildings and historical items to view. At the back of the property is a bridge that takes you onto a bushwalk (sadly we didn't have time for but looks nice). Very interesting and has a quiz for the kids to do whilst wandering around.
Awesome place to visit. So much to do, walk through the museum exhibits, bush walk, suspension bridge and use of the undercover Gas BBQ/ picnic area are all included In admission price of $20 per family , $10 per adult, $5 per child. Great value With plenty of room for kids to run around. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
Fascinating museum and lots of room for kids to roam. Easy walk to Hampden bridge and suspension bridge at the rear of museum. $20 family of four and great experience for children especially the old school house.
This must have been one of the most fascinating places to witness early pioneer living. The historical building have all the earmarks of real homes of the early pioneers, decor, furniture and even the vibe. Brings back memories of when my nan used to talk about her younger years. A great educational place for kids to see how things were 'back then' and even brought a lot of raised eyebrows expressions to me. Located right next to the historical Hampden Bridge, this is definitely worth taking your visitors and guests for a day trip out to Kangaroo Valley. Check their trading hours, as some days vary.
