Lovely resort but possibly too big!

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 26 May 2021
My initial reaction when I arrived was that I was staying in an upmarket caravan park as that is what it felt like. Took me some time to settle into the place. I stayed for 3 nights after spending 5 nights at Gaia Retreat, where I felt very nurtured so the sheer size of Elements came as a shock. I stayed in a 1 bedroom Botanical Villa which was large, bedroom and bathroom lovely but the decor in the lounge area is a bit soulless.Plenty of nice touches. The pool areas are lovely, although I avoided the adults only pool as crowded and noisy. I particularly enjoyed the Beach Club, beautiful view and quiet. Unfortunately it is a fair way out of Bryon so taxis required. Pity they don't have a shuttle into town. There is always the option of the solar train but that doesn't run at night. Food choices not so good if you are after healthy options. Everywhere was very clean and well maintained and staff most helpful. Like most hotels in Bryon very overpriced. $420/night and breakfast not included.

Amazing - from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave (sadly). Loved the variety of dining options and our superb villa with all the luxuries you could imagine, but the heated adults only pool was the best element of all! We’ll be back for sure as this place is nothing short of incredible! It was a bonus to be very close to the solar train which is a great experience. So much to do in Byron and a great place to stay!

My husband and I recently stayed at Elements for a 4 night stay at the end of a 10 day road trip.

We booked a one bedroom luxury villa but we were upgraded on arrival to a 2 bedroom Deluxe Villa.

We had an amazing stay - we loved our villa, the food at both restaurants was awesome and we also enjoyed the Margarita’s and Taco’s at the adult pool.

Best thing of all were the staff who were all excellent - friendly and professional. A particular call out to Nai on reception who checked us in and was so helpful throughout our stay.

We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked to come back, this time for 8 nights in December.

Only negative was the gym which is far too small for a resort of this size. We were usually in there by 6.30am but with only one operational treadmill and a tiny weights area, this was not early enough to be guaranteed to be able to work out.

Spent a few nights here recently in a Botanical Villa and while it is true that when you walk around the grounds it does feel a bit like a caravan park the villas themselves are very modern and spacious with a lounge area, small kitchen and big bathroom with a large bathtub. When we arrived there were a couple of things that were not working properly (outside light, shower) but these were quickly fixed. The public areas (pools, restaurants, reception area) are up to date and aesthetically of a standard expected of a high end resort. The staff are also most helpful and professional. But due to the number of families with young children staying at Elements the main pool and Terrace dining area can be a little noisy. If you prefer some peace and quiet head for the Adults pool and also try the more refined Dining Room. We really enjoyed the dining experience we had there. We also greatly appreciated the understanding shown by management when we decided to cut our stay short due to the COVID cases in Byron. Hopefully we will be back in the near future!

This is the ultimate place for relaxation. With plenty of adult only areas it is easy to escape the noise of the kids. Also as a couple the villas are set away from the larger 2 bed villas so you are unlikely to be surrounded by families also. The only suggestion would be to add a milk frother in the rooms! So many places supply Nespresso machines but no method to make the milk! I have just visited Elements for the second time (March 2021) and took my milk frother with me!!!

Went there to check out to extend our stay at Byron, wouldnt let us in the door. Concierge had to go “check” if we could enter apparently we didn’t make the cut. Disappointing as it is not close to town. Don’t bother !
