We were staying in the resort and had our first night’s meal in the restaurant. We were allocated a lovely table in the gorgeous fresh evening air at 830pm. We’d give the restaurant a five if it wasn’t for the ridiculous delay between ordering and service. We only ate at 930pm! We went straight to main course and had intended to have dessert but didn’t want to risk waiting forever for the second course after being up since 4am for an early flight! That aside the meals were excellent and the steak done to perfection. The main dishes were a good size for the price paid. Can’t comment on any other dishes unfortunately! Excellent wine list and beautiful setting.

Lovely restaurant with the backdrop of a rain forest, swimming pool and resort. While we were having our lunch, the birds were flying around from one tree to another. The meals were delicious! The chicken pasta was rather salty...

I had heard many good things about the restaurant at Byron at Byron so decided to take my husband there for a birthday treat.
The restaurant itself has a lovely vibe to it, we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table promptly.
We enjoyed a couple of cocktails before ordering our food & I was particularly impressed with the chilli margarita.
The wine we ordered was also very enjoyable.
The starter & main was lacking in flavour, don’t get me wrong it was nice but just not up to the par with the price you pay for. The dessert was delicious and the highlight of the meal.
Overall we had an ok experience & a nice night.

Been there a few times now always been such a wonderful night. Staff are so friendly and chatty it’s a great place to relax and have a lovely dinner with a few drinks. Prices are a little up there but definitely worth it. Meals are always devine and the desserts are even better so make sure you save room for the sweets!

Previous experiences in the restaurant have been great, but tonight's dinner was more than disappointing; we ordered the oysters which were nice, but our main, the lamb shoulder was tasteless. For a slow cooked lamb shoulder we expected it to be more tender, the flavour of the meat was bland and the meat was dry. The sauces that they served with the lamb were not adding much more flavour to the dish. For the side vegetables they chose to only serve zucchini (nothing else), which was bland and oily as they also added some unnecessary deep fried zucchini on top. The touch of the mint with the zucchini was nice though, but zucchini is quite a bland vegetable and did not enhance the disappointing flavour of the lamb at all. A roast chicken from Woolworths has more taste and saves you $94.00. The service is disorganised and the wines we got recommended with our main were served with our starters. We also had several people serving our table. We would not be comfortable to recommend the restaurant to our family and friends. Tom, the runner of the food was very friendly though. I am a high rated chef in Europe and this food experience was one big joke. Should you be interested in a fantastic lamb shoulder we would recommend the Balcony in Byron or Harvest in Newrybar. Please note, I do not work in either of those restaurant, but had an amazing experience with their lamb shoulders. We hope the restaurant performance will improve again. Culinary greetings, Aaron
