Great Location, clean rooms, quiet, ideal spot for a quick Byron visit!!!

We stayed here for the weekend over two nights... it was a delight to arrive to find it was so close ( literally 1 minute walk to the main intersection of Byron) and easy to get home and walk back/forth. Rooms were clean, spacious, well appointed with tea/coffee and TV, bathroom, and good beds. Rooms were quiet albeit it was a busy period at Byron, we didn't hear anyone coming nor going. Only thing is that it was disappointing to find that they had turned the air conditioner off at the electrical point, so we couldn't have it on at all - it was literally turned off and no electricity connected... but apart from that - a great room and a great location for the price. Too easy!!

needs a real make over..grubby bathroom ..road works out side..look else where..it is close to town..we had to clean the place before we used it. I thought places in this condition where a thing of the past.

Keep driving, sleep in your car if you have to, but don’t stay here. Stayed one night, was charged nearly $200 and when I asked how to control the heater/AC (you have to find the secret slot on the floor between the beds, that they don’t tell you about) was barked at by the owner and told to stop complaining. My room was smelly and very old. If there had been an alternative (writer’s festival was on) I would have left. My colleagues room had a dirty toilet (not flushed) and a soaked (in something) pillow slip on the bathroom floor. When he bought this to the Allentown off the owner he was told to stop complaining or we would both be kicked out. Appalling.

It is a shame that there is not a lower rating than 1, because that is what this place deserves. That is hard to do at
The manager is a miserable rude man and should not work in the hospitality industry.
Arrived last night after 10 days in the outback in north QLD.
This was the most expensive place I stayed at and the most dirty and unfriendly place.
Toilet had yellow urine in it..... not flushed....
The wash basin had a number of black hairs in it.
The bed linen was limp and no longer white....
I found a dirty soiled pillow cover in the shower.....
When I contacted the manager re this he simply said, if you don’t like it leave!
My recommendation is to avoid this pigsty.

We came to Byron Bay to attend an event and we were after a place where 3 friends could share a room, essentially a crash pad.

This venue looks like it was built in the 1970s is clean and has a comfortable ( firm) bed and a hot shower.

Its located right along the disused railway line and is a 5 minute walk to the shops.

Room was quiet and of good size. I would say it was reasonable basic but had the essentials.

Good choice as we only really slept arriving later and leaving early
