I took a friend for their first dive who had never really dived or even snorkelled previously.. After a morning short course the dive was a success and my friend’s keen for her next dive and doing her O.W. Cert.
My two dives were a lot of fun. The Jew Hole/Cod Hole was spectacular.. a swim through cave with a wide mouth and narrow exit.. filled with a large number of species including a small school of metre long Jew and large Cod, a loggerhead and plenty of little colourful guys.. the whole site is covered with various coloured Carpet Sharks or Wobbygongs and they get nurse sharks and other large sharks during the whale migration months.
I’m looking forward to going back to see more and would definitely go with Sundive again. They’re the right combination of fun and professionalism that made it such a great day out.
My husband and I had an amazing dive at Julian Rocks. My husband dives alot with his job and said it was probably the best dive he's ever done. We saw heaps of grey nurse sharks, wobbegongs, a sleeping turtle and masses of fish! All the staff were friendly and professional and the dive ran smoothly. Will definitely dive with them again when we are back in Byron Bay. Thanks for a great morning.
We were so impressed with these guys! Super friendly and helpful and genuine people :) I thought $75 for a boat, plus wetsite and snorkel for 3 hours was pretty great value. We were the only snorkelers in a group of divers, but we still had a blast. We saw sea turtles and heaps of fish 🐠🌊
Incredible dive with regards to wildlife and very accommodating/friendly to divers of various levels of experience.
It was awesome! We could see about 20-25 grey nurse sharks, a big turtle, a big grouper and a lot of fish! It was my first dive with sharks and it was absolutely awesome! The team it’s great! It’s one of the highlights points of dive in Australia!
They take 6 people per guide on a tiny boat. 6 is a bit too many for the dive site. I would recommend only taking 4 at a time. A bit crazy when you do a double dive and get back to the shop and they unload the gear from boats.
Saw lots of wobbygong sharks and other cool fish. As an experienced diver I would dive this site again and would return to sundive.
