My mother and I had a comfortable couple of nights at Craigieburn, Bowral. The room was cozy and the beds were comfortable. Our dinner in Hickory's restaurant was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Our welcome glass of bubbles on arrival was a lovely touch!
We were, however, very surprised by the numerous potholes in the driveway and the lack of lighting at the gateway. Very easy to miss the turn into Craigieburn at night. The decor of the general areas also seemed rather out of keeping with the lovely historic hotel and the exterior looked rather tired and like it needs a lot of maintenance and a major refurbishment.
Fortunately, the gardens are spectacular and very well maintained. Congratulations to the gardeners and to all the staff at the hotel!More
