Very disappointing - over priced for an old style room. Bathroom the size of a small closet. Reception staff unwelcoming.
Redeeming features - the gardens look beautiful and well maintained, lots of little lounge rooms with roaring fires

Lovely to 'get out of the city' to the Southern Highlands for a few days! Our stay at Peppers Craigieburn...an older hotel, but clean, well appointed rooms, extremely friendly professional staff and a first class meal at their onsite 'Hickory's' restaurant! Wonderful gardens to walk through, plus a 9 hole golf course and very close to all of the attractions of Bowral, etc. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Extremely impressed with Craigieburn. Loved our short stay. The premises and location are fantastic. Staff - from checkin with Rikki, through all the catering and housekeeping - excellent. The golf course is quite enjoyable and in good condition but it was very wet. Highly recommend Craigieburn.

The driveway is most accurately described as a 4WD track, and definitely not an entry to a luxurious Southern Highlands Estate. When I reported this to reception, I was advised it is re-done (sic) every six (6) months. It would be highly beneficial and cost effective to construct a fit for purpose driveway that does not cause extreme back pain and is much more economical to maintain. I am on pain medication as a result of the driveway experience.

My background in hospitality management causes me to be critical, that's the nature of the industry, but this property is in desperate need of owner attention and the property is very tired.

Then there is the issue of parking, unfortunately it appears that the parking situation is a little underestimated.

The (limited) food menu does not cater to all, although what was ordered tasted terrific, a little more choice would be suggested. A menu printed on an A4 piece of paper looks tacky, and the limited range suggests the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage should schedule a workshop in one of the many conference rooms to develop a new, destination menu.

Room tip: Avoid the property unless you are satisfied in paying top dollar for a motel with nice gardens.

Next to zero customer engagement with any staff except Caleb at the bar. Everything was transactional. Tiny rooms with hard beds and block pillows. Bathrooms barely big enough for one. Potholes everywhere on the entry driveway...terrible first impression. Way too understaffed. Glasses and dishes lying around, Gas fires constantly kept burning in the common areas.... for hours on end with no guests. Huge gaps under doorways where wind swept in. An environmental nightmare. Empty sanitiser in mens bathroom 3 days running. A farcical facade for a 3 star...at BEST... Property. Never again.
