Lovely

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Nov 2021
A friend and I stopped in for lunch one Sunday. We had no booking, but were easily accommodated. What a lovely place this is. Charming olde worlde atmosphere, indoor/outdoor options for dining and delicious food. I have not stayed at the lodge, but it looks very inviting, and if the standard of our afternoon, eating, drinking and gazing out at greenery, is anything to go by, I will definitely give it a go as a weekend getaway. The food is not cheap, but it is no more expensive than what you find these days at most mid-range establishments. My only criticism is that they need more staff, or need to utilise the staff more effectively. I waited for ten minutes at the bar behind a lady who was ordering several drinks but only started to think about what she wanted when she was at the counter. Another bartender would have been nice. Perhaps this was just a one-off experience.

Serene environment with its own lake, ducks and ducklings. Especially when we were the only motel guests (me being an authorised worker in Bowral) during nsw regional lockdown. Management and housekeeping were reliable. Amenities were good. Free laundry available was a plus.

Very comfortable room with parking right at door; Very quiet, and not too far from either Moss vale or Bowral. All the facilities you could wish for. Friendly , helpful staff.
The separately managed Briars Inn next door is very close , and looks attractive, warm and inviting. But disappointingly it really offers pub food at a high price.

What a great place. Excellent location just out of Bowral, lovely views over their gardens and lake. Warm and comfortable rooms with good lighting options, plenty of space, excellent shower (in our room, over the bath). King size bed with just the right firmness. Friendly staff, parking just outside the room. Really nothing to fault !! Also, excellent tavern/pub right next door.

Room tip: Ideal if you don’t want to stay right in Bowral.

We booked a standard king room and was not disappointed. Our room came with a direct lovely view of the lake. More importantly, it was clean, comfortable and big even by Australian standards. We like the split levels with the lounge, sofa and dining table on the lower level. There was a microwave oven, tea-making facilities and a safe in the room. The staff was very friendly & helpful and even gave us 2 complimentary batteries, declining our offer to pay. We had a very comfortable stay and would consider staying here again next time we visit Bowral.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view of the lake, if available.

We did enjoy our overnight stop here in q one king bedroom deluxe room with a mini kitchenette but plenty of space and beautiful surroundings with a fountain lushes green grass. Just gorgeous! A very quiet night sleep and a good bed. The bathroom a bit old and in need of a facelift but it worked.
We couldnt have dinner there as it was not available perhaps because of corona virus, not sure so we went into town to the Irish Pub for dinner. Had fun there!
