I want to preface this review noting that I have been a field sales rep for 15 years and have travelled all over regional NSW. I know what to expect when staying at a country motel.
This motel is VERY run down. Rusted chairs, rattling air conditioner, restaurant closed down, staff sitting around smoking out the front of the rooms.
However the reason for my review is the fact I left with bed bug bites all over my body and when I notified the owner the following day, they basically called me a liar and said I must have had an allergic reaction to something.
Such an unprofessional way to deal with a with a customer.
Accommodation is sparse in Bega, however, I highly recommend driving a bit further to stay anywhere but here.

Booked into the Bega Downs for an overnight stay after a long day on the road. Tidy rooms, friendly staff and a very peaceful night's sleep. We'd definitely stay here again on our next trip. A quiet town in the evening with a few options to eat out.

The room was larger than we expected. The bathroom was newly renovated, and everything was as expected. The only real trouble we had was with the TV. Reception was intermittent; sometimes we lost the picture, sometimes we sound, and sometimes we lost both. The remote often didn't work, and we had to use the buttons on the side of the TV. But otherwise we were happy with our stay.
