Booked for the long weekend as we had always bypassed Ballina and was so pleasantly surprised. Beautiful apartment 20 feet from the water. We could sit on the atop or on the lounge and watch people fishing or doing other water sports. Very relaxing outlook as husband was recovering from an operation. The apartment was lovely and well appointed. Staff bring extra toiletries and cleaning products around for you each day. It is s short 5 min walk to shops, river cruising or beach. Ballina is such a lovely town to explore or sit in a lovely park by the water and fish. The council here have done a wonderful job to make the town into a people friendly place.

Fabulous location overlooking the Richmond River, fabulous accommodation with everything you could want, great prices.
Have stayed several times now and will continue to do so, service is fantastic and only a short stroll to restaurants and shops. A great place to stay for a few days

After a call from Ben at the Ramada to advise me that the hotel couldn't honour my booking made via AsiaRooms as they were fully booked for one of the nights, it took four phone calls and eight emails to AsiaRooms to ensure I wouldn't be charged. I can't review the hotel as we can't be accommodated but save yourself a lot of hassle if booking and steer clear of AsiaRooms.

Often stay at this lovely peaceful little town. The staff are friendly, the rooms are great. Everything you need. We usually stay in a one bedroom spa unit on the water front . It's lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the sunrise. The waterfront activity, the birds or the boats cruising past. Plenty of restaurants close by and some really nice shops as well. Overall a great place for a couple to get away for a couple of days. Will definitely be back.

Room tip: Spa water front

I recently stayed five nights in the Ramada Hotel and a very relaxing and comfortable stay it was. Room was spacious with a great view overlooking the river and I enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets. The bathroom was also spacious and the shower head was wonderful. I didn't always turn on the extractor fan because I found it cold and it also took a long time to automatically turn off so the noise was a little annoying. I didn't like the ipod dock and when I requested an old-fashioned clock radio, a gentleman brought one to me in no time at all for which I was grateful. And also when the remote for the TV stopped working, another younger man brought up new batteries and it was fixed very quickly. My only real criticism is that I was disappointed there was not free WiFi -- something that seems to be standard in many establishments now. I notice it is being offered free during the school holidays so why not all the time.

It was also most convenient to be so close to the main street which included Woolworths and numerous clothes shops which made for several pleasant afternoons wandering around.

All in all, a most enjoyable stay.

Room tip: An upper floor overlooking the river.

Dear Helen H, thank you for taking the time to submit your review. It was great to read you enjoyed a relaxing stay with us. Our staff are always on hand and are happy to help with any queries or requests during guest stays, and thank you for noting they maintained this service in a timely fashion. WiFi is currently contracted through an external provider and we are actively seeking means to amend their fixed costs. Thank you Helen and we look forward to hosting you again soon. Kind regards Ben Dargie Hotel Manager
