We stayed at Ballina Discovery Park on Fenwick St. We were lucky to get a front row beside the lake caravan site for 3 nights. It was such a peaceful spot. Amenities were quite good but our nearest laundry spot only had 1 working washing machine. There was another laundry there with 3 working machines. Otherwise a wonderful park to stay at.

We (family of four) spent a week at lakeside (last week) and it was fabulous - the location is excellent - near the river and the beach and the amenities are great. The pool was even warm enough for swimming in July. The water park was also a hit. This is a great place to stay - family friendly and has the best equipped "camp kitchen" I have ever seen. Plenty of free activities for kids and a safe and relaxing environment - well will be back!

The staff were consistently most courteous, friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Great location and we were impressed that other residents also kept noise to a minimum, e.g. not letting cars run idle.

Some design aspects in the cabins are impractical and potentially prone to injury (e.g. hitting the head). Re-designing and re-fitting some confined spaces would help address those issues.

When advised that Wifi is available it is reasonable to expect that it should work. However, it was most unreliable and inconsistent. Best not to promise a service when unable to provide it.

As soon as we arrived in the park to check in the staff member was so rude giving us attitude. Got to the cabin to find 2 of the bunk beds not made, had to ring reception to get some sheets to sleep in. The cabin was very run down and the heater struggled was cold in the morning when it was left on all night. Double Mattress was hard as a rock could feel every single spring in it. Its true what others have said residents seem to rule the park and make you feel uncomfortable. Was only walking the baby around the park and residents giving me dirty looks.

Cabins overlooking the water are lovely. The park is very spacious and has lots of activities and play areas for small children. there are plenty of places close by and the Golf Course is excellent. bring along bikes as there are many great places you can ride to along the coastal paths.
