“Not quite as advertised...”
Reviewed 4 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Chy Tyak is one of 3 cottages available as holiday rentals at Trenona Farm. The property is of a good size and was probably once of a high quality. It is rented normally for most of the year. We took the property on the same day as the renter moved out.
Unfortunately, it now looks like what it is rather than what it is advertised as. That is to say it is tired and quite dirty, perhaps as a consequence of being rented until the last minute.
On a basic level it needed a good, deep clean as there was ingrained dirt in many places, particularly in the bathrooms and kitchen. Similarly, the plastic goods such as washing-up bowl, kettle and toilet brushes all badly needed replacing. The gas fire had been declared unsafe in March, but was still un-repaired.
Overall, the property needed to be approached more professionally. We felt that for the price we paid (£975 for 7 nights) that it should have been better. The cottage has potential, but it is not being realized.
