Third visit over five years with young children. Free to walk in, selection of jewellery available to buy in showroom but the joy is outside. Area to pan for gold, used to be more exciting with jewels and gold but you did have to pay a small charge. Now it is free but no jewels or bags (take one along) to collect gold. They have a build a bear and paint your own china Worksop. All three children really enjoyed painting their chosen pottery, ladies really friendly and helpful and lots of good quality paint available to use.

The restaurant is great, the lunch we had today was fresh and as tasty as any restaurant I have visited in the last few months, fresh seafood chowder, vegan burger (I’m not vegan but sounded so delicious that I ordered it anyway) and a children’s menu.

There is crazy golf if you fancy it.

A good way to spend a couple of hours without paying entrance fee.

We will return.

Small decline since last visit (2016) nice attractive jewellery. Prices to suit most people. Cafe could do better. We had a lovely meal but wasn’t in the menus on tables. We only found the main menu while in the queue.

Hello Julie E. Thanks for visiting Cornwall Gold again and for leaving us your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your meal; we're very proud of our award winning restaurant. The menus are located on the big display right by the entrance as they have been for the past 4 years. During extremely busy times there is a chance they may all be in use by our visitor, so we take your point on board and will address this. Many thanks for leaving us your review and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

Hi mufcadd. Thanks for visiting Cornwall Gold again and for leaving us your feedback. You're right, panning for gold has changed- it's now completely free! We've removed the pick a diamond attraction to make way for exciting new developments to launch later this year. Our Cornish Pantry has just won a Gold award in the Taste of the west Awards for the 2nd year running and also won an award in last years Cornwall Tourism Awards. We understand these changes are not to everyone's taste, however we do hope to welcome you back again the next time you are in the area.

Kids like to come here in the summer although prices are a bit high in the cafe. It would be nice to have more history details about cornwall as well.

Hi Kelly W, thanks for visiting Cornwall Gold. We're glad you enjoyed your visit ; next time why not visit our very own tin mill, Tolgus, where you can learn all about our history. We hope to welcome you back again soon.

Been going to Cornwall Gold for years now and have sadly seen it declining over those years. The cafe has always been good for its money and quality! But unfortunately, the rest of it has gone very upmarket and a lot of the family features have been removed. Formally a lot more attractions for Children were at the site including Mock Up James Bond and Back to the Future Cars, Pick a Diamond, Million Pounds in Gold Bars and ‘Goldie’ the Tarantula, all of which have been removed. The Art and Craft shop is good and allows kids to paint pots, mugs etc. but the Bear Works has Shrunk. It’s a shame as it used to be a great place for all the family but it now seems to be all about making money.

Hi Stobartben. Thanks for visiting us again and for taking the time to leave us your feedback. This our 29th year, and we continue to evolve and develop based on the requirements of our visitors. We are a jewellery business, however we also offer a range of family activities on our park including Crazy Golf, Panning for Gold, Bear Works and Create & Paint pottery. The majority of displays you mention in your review were removed in 2014, to allow us to focus on the regeneration of our tin mill, Tolgus, and to communicate the significance of this unique piece of Cornish heritage. We hope to welcome you back to Cornwall Gold again soon.
