Top quality barn conversion accomodation combining both coastal and rural setting! Super welcome pack on arrival. Would definitely stay again.
Been coming here for years and are never disappointed with a great location and beautiful decor inside. Would recommend to anyone visiting Mevagissey.
We loved staying at the Snug for a week whilst we visited Mevagissey and the surrounding area. It was a great base, in a peaceful setting, which caters for couples but also families. A 15min walk into Mevagissey where there are several good dining options, so the location is perfect. Vicky, the owner, was great to interact with prior to our stay and helped to organise a food shop plus left us a lovely welcome pack to start us off. The Snug could easily fit four but it was just the two of us so very spacious. Easy access to coastal paths nearby, and plenty of day trips to Eden or Heligan, or just hire a boat from the harbour and explore!
As a family of five, children's ages 5, 10 and 13, we spent a very comfortable two weeks in The Snug. Lovely welcome hamper, very comfortable and stylish linens, really everything you could need and more. The barns have been beautifully converted and are quiet.
Internet ranged from very fast to not working, which may have just been a transient fault during our stay and didn't cause us too much of a problem.
The only thing I would have changed is to have underfloor heating in the wet room/ bathrooms. The tiles struggled to dry once you'd showered.
Mevagissey is a short walk away and Portmellon beach is just perfect for children of all ages. Sheltered and shallow for swimming, kayaking, snorkelling, diving etc and excellent rock pools.
It's a quieter, less touristy part of Cornwall. No problems parking the car.
I would recommend Penwarne manor and Portmellon beach.
Beautiful accommodation & a fabulous warm welcome. The setting was perfect - quiet & very scenic, also Perfectly placed to see many parts of Cornwall. Cannot wait to return!
