“Beautiful apartment”

My husband and I spent a lovely week in the Old shop apartment, we couldn't have asked for anywhere better to stay. The apartment was clean, stylish and very comfortable. We were just over the road from the car park (a discounted parking permit was included) which is a real bonus in Mevagissey and only a short walk from the harbour, shops and pubs. The weather we had was great and so the air con unit was very welcome. The communication with the owners John and Kate prior to our arrival was excellent and covered everything that we needed to know, we found them very friendly and welcoming when we met them on the day we arrived. The fresh flowers, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits was a lovely touch. We will definitely be staying again.

“A real jewel - comfy and convenient”
Reviewed 6 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We arrived early and met Kate, who showed us round the fabulous larger house and then let us in as soon as the apartment was cleaned. We really liked John and Kate, who told us the story of how they came to own the shop. we were confident that nothing was too much trouble but they left us alone to enjoy our holiday - I think my husband rang them once with a car parking question and they said they would come if we had problems - we didn't - Kate git us a weekly permit.
Kate took our ten year old and fourteen year old and showed them the gadgets and their room. There is a store outside for buckets and spades, indoors there is an x box, every DVD you could want etc. Etc.

Everything is very clean and good quality ( eg. Denby knives in the kitchen that actually cut!) there is a washer dryer, air conditioning, microwave, etc etc etc, nothing we needed was missing.

Car parking is opposite and the best bit is that it's a flat short walk to the harbour - about 200 yards. This was perfect for children who want crabbing nets one minute and fishing rods the next.

It was so easy, we had a lovely time and can't wait it come back. Kate and John have really thought of everything (My son, a typical 14 year old, said, she's even labelled the sofa bed parts for stupid people like you mum)

In one word 'WOW'. My husband and I stayed at the 'Old shop' for our wedding anniversary. We love Mevagissey and we wanted something close to the harbour. Upon arrival and entering the property we were amazed at the very high standard that had been achieved. Spacious and modern and meticulously clean throughout. The kitchen was very well equipt with absolutely everything we needed for our stay. On the table was a bottle of champagne and a card for our Anniversary which was a lovely thought.
Every detail had been thought about from the kitchen to appropriate bedding for the time of year to information about the apartment and things to do in and around the area.
3 tv's, dvd player with a large range of dvd's, xbox and games.
The bathroom was also lovely with a powerful shower and under floor heating.
John and Kate kept in communication from the moment we made the booking, they kept us fully informed with excellent directions and we knew we could contact them if we needed anything.
We had a fantstic stay here and would highly recommend this property to everyone. Well done John and Kate you can be very proud of the little treasure you have created.
