This has to be one of the nicest places that we have stayed. The cottage was as described by both the agent and the owner and just ten paces from the beach. Kingsand is a fabulous place, coupled with Cawsand, the next village. They are in such close proximity to each other, it feels like one place. If you like your food then this is the place for you. Between the two there are four pubs and all serve excellent grub and an exceptional choice of ciders and beers.
There are numerous good walks from this location, varying in length from 2 miles up to several. You can hire kyaks from the beach at Cawsand which enables you to explore the wonderful coastline. If you fancy a visit to Plymouth you can take the taxi boat from Cawsand which is a very pleasant way to travel. It costs £4 each way and takes about 20 minutes.
There are several beaches and I would describe them as been child friendly as the water is shallow, even up to 50 metres out. The views from the beach are amazing: Just sit and take in the different types of sailing boats and observe the varying types of war ships that come and go from Plymouth.
This is a little known place but is a real gem.
