I must admit I've been going to Cornwall on holiday since I was 10 years old and now, as an adult introducing my daughter to the wonders of Cornwall, I see things in a renewed light. Sam (the owner of Brimble Lodge) was nothing short of fantastic. My daughter had unfortunately come down with an ear infection in the early hours of arrival day (typical!) and Sam let us go in to the lodge early so that my daughter could rest after our very long journey. Sam also helped me out when I experienced wifi issues. Communication has been wonderful through all stages of booking the holiday and our actual stay.
Brimble Lodge itself is a perfect little bolthole to enjoy your holiday from. The lodge is warm and welcoming and has all the things required for a lovely holiday. Thanks for the fan in the main bedroom! Knowing Cornwall quite well, I always find that Hayle is a wonderful area to stay in. It's local to lots of attractions for the family (The Minack Theatre, Lands End, Paradise Park, Flambards, etc) and also for beaches and restaurants.
Also, the family entertainment that's provided on site is lovely. My six year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed it - so much so we went 5 nights of our holiday! The swimming pool on site is slightly small though so in peak times was a little busy.
Even though we had pretty awful weather (British summer time at it's finest!) we couldn't have enjoyed our holiday more and my daughter and I felt truly at home on holiday.
Thanks Sam for all your help and for letting us stay.
Cerys & Jess :)
We spent five days here and it was lovely! The bungalow is clean and well-equipped and the park is clean. Our young adults used the pool and tennis court, which were great. We found it strange that the pool is closed between 1-3pm on a Friday but other than this, we had a great time.
We stayed here for 7 days in September could not fault the lodge one bit... cooking facilities were great, furniture and decor very up to date in comparison to other lodges we had seen on site!
Owner of the lodge was superb and helped
with some issues that we had faced prior to our break away (not related to the lodge must I state) very prompt on replies in relation to booking.
About a 20-25 minute walk to the centre which is central to the beach and lots of
Would definitely stay again if we choose to holiday in the UK next year :)
Located just outside Hayle, at Tolroy manor which is a John Fowler park. The lodge is compact but is very well equipped, clean and nicely furnished. Our children are 14 & 10 and they enjoyed using the indoor pool & tennis courts on site. Wifi is accessible at the Manor house if required. We found the location excellent for exploring St Ives & Highly recommend the Park & ride coast train, the coast view is stunning. Corbis Bay has a lovely beach and minutes away. Lots of other beaches & villages within a short drive. Had a great stay & would highly recommend .
