We spent a week with 11year old grandsons at Lakeside. They are keen fisherman, so spent many a happy hour trying to catch the elusive 'big one' from the lake which was a stones throw away from the cottage. Another plus was the games room, where they were able to play table tennis, and table football. The air hockey machine needs £1 for three games. Also you need your own table tennis bats and balls. The accommodation was adequate, but needed a clock in the kitchen as the oven did not have a timer, and there was only one teaspoon. The bed was the main issue for us. The double bed in the main bedroom was so uncomfortable. It was soft and the sides had collapsed, we tried turning it but it didn't make any difference, it was like sleeping on a trampoline! As the week went on our backs were feeling the worse for it. It is such a shame as the bedroom has a lovely outlook and we spent a lot of time on the balcony in the evenings. I feel that this is definitely something that needs to be replaced. Lakeside is situated in a quiet and relaxing location, with plenty of places to visit within a few miles that will suit all ages. We enjoyed our time here.
We are a family of five and we all thoroughly enjoyed our week at Trehill Cottages. We stayed in Lakeside. Our three children had plenty to do ..the park, feeding the donkeys, fishing and playing in the park and games room.
Great base for national trust properties and the many attractions around the Plymouth area.
Fantastic stay..would definitely recommend the cottages
Many thanks the "Sullys"

I really loved the cottage , it was everything I expected from a relaxed weekend in Cornwall. The cottage is located in the peaceful village of Callington which is just half an hour out of Plymouth and about 45 minutes from the Eden Project .
The cottage is less than 5 minutes drive to the town centre and Tesco and petrol station , this is quite convenient for getting shopping and petrol etc .
There is a large lounge downstairs with an excellent movie and music collection if you decide to stay in. There is also a very large games room which you can use at any time .
I also enjoyed waking up in the morning and having coffee while sitting on the Balcony and enjoying views of the lake and country side . It was a very relaxing way to start the day.
Also , it is a very quiet place , I could not hear any noise at all from the other cottages .
Finally, Neville , the cottage owner was really helpful and was always available to assist us when we needed help with setting up heating etc around the cottage.
