I think reading previous views from April, that it is not the Black Boy on Wyre Hill, never been cold in pub, fires and heating available, great welcome, great beers/ cider/ wines etc, great snack ( crusty cobs, pork pies, etc) great improvement over last 2 months and great things to come good luck to new owners Steve and Clair

Been here a few times. Can't vouch for food but seriously owners need to think about heat. No radiators on. No wood and minimal coal. Scratting around for wood is poor. Came here a few weeks ago during the snow and boiler was broken and again no heat. First rule of hospitality keep your punters warm

Hello You have got the wrong pub. We are The Black Boy on Wyre Hill Bewdley, we are not in the town centre. Can you remove your comment please. That is not our fireplace. Our fire was lit throughout the cold weather, our heating was on and our boiler did not break down. Thank You

This delightful pub sits within a row of 200-year-old cottages five minutes walk up a steep hill out of Bewdley town. Indeed it's the town's oldest pub.

We were staying nearby for only a week. The moment I stepped inside the pub there was an instant welcome. It's like stepping into a cosy front room although it has two bars. There was a warmth and friendliness which is so very rare these days. There's no TV or artificial entertainment. It's just a good traditional community pub - and what's more there's a refreshing range of drinks with beer from local brewers. That beer is well-kept and served perfectly and entices you to drink another pint.

Called in here after reading good reviews in the local media. Lovely old building and rustic interior. We went into the room at the rear which can only be described as depressing. It is furnished with old furniture and a very old scruffy bar. Room was very dark and gloomy. This will definitely be a locals of Wyre Hill area, it is too far to walk to from Bewdley and parking is a real problem. Not a great selection of beers and pork pies and rolls on offer for food. Not sure why the Black Boy closed down previously, but the current owners will need to make a visit there more interesting to keep the customers happy. Don't think I would trek up Wyre Hill for another visit.
