“peaceful”
Reviewed 22 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

An absolutely charming little lodge set just off the road and outside the owners property; very easy to find.

This property is set in beautiful surroundings with plenty of space to chill out in either alone or with company. Tea, coffee and milk provided for when you first arrive; which after a long journey is really appreciated.

Woke up in the mornings to the lovely sound of bird song & silence, greetings from the owners horse & pony, who enjoyed a bit of a fuss.

Bedding & towels are of good quality, The four poster bed was very comfortable, Fresh & clean property.

Great little place to use as a main stay to explore the surrounding area. Not too far from Avebury, Marlborough, Devizes, Bath and Salisbury; all full of character.

“Amazing rural location & property”
Reviewed 7 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Lovely property in a beautiful location, a comfortable home-from-home, clean and well equipped. The property was nicely located for days out, in the area I spent many summers in as a child. The clear night sky’s full of stars were stunning.

“Lovely comfortable cottage in rural Wiltshire”
Reviewed 17 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped, standing in lovely, private surroundings. It is located in the heart of rural Wiltshire; ideal for visiting the many prehistoric attractions Wiltshire has to offer.

“Very peaceful and quiet”
Reviewed 22 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The location was great for visiting surrounding area, very quiet and peaceful. The cottage was clean and well kept. Lovely porch to sit and read in the sunshine. The cottage was as big as it needed to be. The kitchen small but manageable bit of a pain having the fridge in the dining room though. Had quality saucepans and crockery, just lacking on quality utensils. A water filter would be good to have, take with you.Bathroom all good, bath filled up in minutes, the shower took too long as not very powerful. Master bedroom was great , good size and had all we needed the bed was ok not the worst but not the best. Kids room small but perfectly ok. Only problem was that the lounge was in the middle of the two bedrooms so we had to be very quiet or we would wake up the children. There was no where to store our bikes.

“Perfect retreat and lovely setting”
Reviewed 10 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

I would highly recommend Hinton Lodge. We stayed 3 adults and a tot, perfect to stay with a toddler, nice atmosphere, functional and well furnished house, very nice village location close to Stonehange, Bath, Stourhead, Lacock and lots of other National Trust sites. Would definitely stay again if we visit the area.
