Looking for a place that serves clean eating options? Byblos is the place you want to try! We ordered the Falafel, the gyro, and the shawarma. We opted to have the meats served on a bed of lettuce. We watched the lettuce being freshly cut for our dishes. The falafel was served on a bed of hummus. The falafel was crunchy on the outside with a moist and delicious center.

Byblos has a simple, efficient set up that allows for quick selection, service, and eating in a no-frills atmosphere. The owner was very accommodating and provided samples of various dishes...including a delicious dessert that was fresh out of the oven (Baklava).

The pricing is fair for the guaranteed freshness of the food.
Falafel was $6.45. Gyro was $8.95 Shawarma was $8.95.

It is a little hard to find (the back corner of the "restaurant building" on Friendship Drive by Bass Pro Shops) but worth the trip. Super fresh kebabs in our platters (I had pork; my wife had chicken). Owner is very pleasant and helpful.

There is a great lack of Greek and Mediterranean restaurants in the Harrisburg area so I was quite pleased to hear of the opening of Byblos. Customer service was excellent, the person behind the counter was welcoming and offered to tell us about any of the menu items. The menu is posted on a board behind the counter and is also available on a small printed card - it is somewhat difficult to interpret. Menu offerings are limited to very basics - gyros, pitas, hummus and also includes daily specials. Orders are placed at the counter and then food is brought to your table. Service was very good. The traditional beef/lamb gyro was good, the chicken gyro was greatly lacking chicken, (both gyros had way too much sauce on them), a hummus platter included some very good salads. Ingredients are very fresh. Dining area is small with about 8 tables for 4. Prices are a tad high for the portion sizes. I will probably give it another try but wasn't overly impressed.
