Not my first visit to this hotel (see previous reviews) and pretty much what I always expect. Unlike other hotels in Danville that are on the south side of Route 80 (the side closer to Danville), this one is on the north side of the interchange down a dark, lonely road away from stores and restaurants, unless you count the hotel's own Country Kitchen. That means the site is relatively quiet although depending on your room, the rumble of trucks on the interstate might reach you as a dull hum.
The rooms are basic- relatively clean, but also showing their age. The bathroom walls were covered with wallpaper patches- nice that care was put into the repair work to make it look good, but also a sign that a complete remodel would be most welcome. The hotel is pet-friendly, although noise from pets has never been an issue. The free breakfast is probably best avoided.
Five years ago, this hotel was a good option while staying in the area and it still is, but it's time the rooms were given some attention as far as aesthetics are concerned, and the free breakfast should do more than just advertise the fact that it's free.More
