We were out on the beach and when we left, we walked along the Promenade toward our downtown hotel, and ended up in front of Maggie's just by chance. Boy was this our lucky day! We had been hoping to get away from the frantic bustle of Broadway Street with all the tourist traffic places to eat and Maggie's is that place. With a classy beachfront feel, this was by far our favorite place to eat in Seaside! There is a nice outdoor patio facing the beach, but it was a cool windy day, so we ate inside. They have a full bar, and handled making my wife and I a couple of great Negroni cocktails. If you find a bar that can make those in a small town, you know you've struck gold. We decided to split the roasted beet salad, and it was huge, so that was a perfect starter. I had the salmon and mushroom ravioli and she had oyster shooters with a smoked salmon Caesar for dinner, and all we're large portions and super delicious. Our waiter was a Lithuanian exchange student and he did a great job of being attentive without hovering, and was very friendly. Our table near the front window gave us a good view of the beach and promenade. We had a superb dinner and a great time. Prices are moderate toward the higher side, but you get what you pay for!

The chief really knows how to put a meal together.
The view, the staff was all you would expect and a fine dinning place. It was reasonable price for the meal. I’ll be back for sure!

Our meals were excellent! The hostess at the Gilbert Inn made an excellent recommendation. The food was very good, and service was attentive. Make sure you make a reservation or be prepared to eat outside.

The clam chowder here is THE best I've ever had - perfect amount of creaminess and the ingredients are as fresh as could be. The macaroni & cheese is also delicious and uniquely prepared. If the weather is nice, it's absolutely worth sitting on the patio even if there's a wait. The views overlooking the promenade and Pacific Ocean are impossible to beat. We timed our meal here perfectly on a relatively cool August night right at sunset, and the atmosphere could not have been more perfect. Fantastic location and service. Highly recommend.

I'll keep this review short and sweet. We sat on the patio and, as we were eating our food, a gigantic RAT scurried by! Not once, not twice but 3 times. We told the server, but all she did was writhe in disgust, as if this was a common part of her day. Of our own accord, we changed tables, finished our food and got the hell out of there!!
