We hadn't been back to E-San for a few years, but upon returning we were not disappointed. We ordered everything at a spice level of 7 out of 10, and it was executed perfectly. The fresh rolls were tasty, well rolled, and the peanut sauce had a perfect consistency and texture. The Chicken Pad Thai was excellent, so good we had none leftover. The green papaya salad was super spicy, but flavorful and tasty. The Larb was perfect, with a great level of heat and spice. The cocktails were made perfectly and to our specifications. It is downtown, so parking is always an issue, but worth the trouble for this food. Still excellent even after almost two decades of patronage.

Fresh, vibrant delicious restaurant. Tried for the first time and went back twice in one week! Standout amongst a lot of Thai places in Portland.

Try the lemongrass pad thai!

Went here with the family while visiting last weekend. My kids loved the Thai sausage fried rice! I tasted it and it was delicious! I got the evil prince curry with chicken and it was great. Chicken was cooked perfectly and had lots of broccoli and other veggies. My partner got the pad kee mao. The portions are large and filling enough to share.

I like how they describe their food and that they place stars next to popular items to her you decide on what to order.

We have come here on our trips to portland and have always enjoyed it!

Located near the heart of downtown. Food is very clean tasting. Very busy place but the waits aren't long. Try the pineapple rice (served in a pineapple) or if you like spicy, try the Evil Prince.
