“Nice building with terrible sound.”
Reviewed 29 December 2011

What a pity that our city's main performance venue has such terrible acoustics. But if you want to see a Broadway play, the Opera or Ballet, it's the only option.

“The Barn is what we call it”

seats are cramped, accustics are aweful as are many sight lines. Why Portland built this monstrosity is beyond me. Go to Armory instead...where all is super!

“Opera at the Keller Auditorium, what great acoustics!”
Reviewed 15 November 2011

Wonderful performance of the "Marriage of Figaro" by Mozart at the Keller. We had box seats toward the center which were well worth the money for the sound, the view and the comfort.

Be sure to think about your departure planning, as shuttles were nowhere to be seen and the taxi service was not up to the volume of attendees.

Be sure to arrive early. Finding a cab after

“Need to be more concened about people, not selling concessions”
Reviewed 27 August 2011

We went to Mama Mia tonight...awesome show! Love the Keller and the parking. However. we were very disappointed tonight with their ability (or lack thereof) to accommodate people. We're older, so arrived before the doors opened at 6:30 for a show that started at 7:30. Got in the door, planning on going directly to our seats (both us us have difficulty standing). Once we got inside, they stopped us and said we could go to our seats. That would have been ok, except there is no place to sit. They seem to have plenty of places to place benches - and the people would should appreciate it. We can see no reason why. Sure would make the wait time more enjoyable. It was quite obvious there were elderly people, obese people, all looking for a place to park...with a whole room full of seats they would not let us go into. And we paid $70 per person ....they need to provide better information on the tickets.
