Hubby had prime rib and me squash soup and walnut and greens salad. All delicious and fresh! After being seated, we were ignored for 10 minutes, but then we got waited on and food came promptly. We needed that water and to be acknowledged. But service then was great and went beyond, because my husband left his cell there at 6:30 pm and we didn't know it was missing til the next morning. I called as soon as Jake's opened, and it was safely in their safe!!! Would have given 4 stars because of first 10 minutes, but when they had the cell phone, they deserve all 5 stars!

Service and food for Thanksgiving was wonderful. Great menu choices. Prices reasonable. All enjoyed all with the exception of the Salmon dish - 2 of our 8 had it and it was cold and unseasoned. Rest of meals were perfect. I had tenderloins and shrimp which was wonderful.

Located in a beautiful old building, this restaurant serves delicious dishes. Whether you order fish or meat, you simply cannot go wrong. And although it's hard to have room for deserts after the main courses, you must give one of them a try. Highly recommendable to visit when you are in Portland.

We were in Portland for a family wedding and went to Jake's twice as it had such good food. The first day was lunch and I had a crab shrimp Louie which was excellent. The next morning we went for brunch and they had a large assortment of eggs benedicts. as we live in Spokane WA, any time I am in Portland or Seattle I look for fish and particularly crab. Their dungerness crab benedict had spinach in it and it was the best
benedict I have ever had. All the other food was outstanding and the service very prompt in an old restaurant atmosphere.

Jakes was recommended by a store owner, so glad she did. Very unique old building. Great food and service. The split pea and ham was enjoyed by all. I had the fried oysters, they were perfect moist and delicious, daughter had the pear salad and it to was delicious. Highly recommend
