During our Portland trip, we went twice to this restaurant for breakfast. The first time on a busy Sunday brunch. Everything was excellent. Super fast and friendly service and very good food. The second time was a quiet Monday morning. The service was a bit slower, but the food was still very good and reasonably priced.

What a delight to have lunch in this restored historic building.
The heavy wooden de ore is a delight and adds to the ambiance. Food and service very good, I had the salmon hash
And the wife had the Duck Confit Omelette,

We enjoyed happy hour twice while in Portland. Great food options including a large hamburger for $5. House wines and cocktails were also discounted. Jake's is part of the Sentinel Hotel which actually encompasses an entire block in downtown Portland. The historic hotel is worth taking a look at while at Jake's. Very enjoyable visits and great martinis!

Do not confuse this with the other establishments named Jake’s. This one is on 10th Avenue. The food was excellent, the service was very efficient and the ambience was very warm. My wife opted for the Caesar for a salad and had the appetizer crab cakes as her main entre, both of which she enjoyed immensely. I started with the onion soup and finished with the duck confit, they were both excellent. Friends also had the Caesar and the fried chicken. To many this seemed like an “old” place but we enjoyed it.

The food delicious, Service AMAZING, One of the best breakfast places in Portland, We come to Portland often our son lives here so when we come to visit we let him choose where we are going to go and he never fails us, Jake's was the best place for breakfast ever. The crab Benedict was mouthwatering, the sausage Benedict was hearty and delicious and our son had the huevos rancheros looked hearty and delicious as well. The server was awesome the mimosas were delicious. One of my favorite spots, the old type building I love and the fact that I could see the sidewalk opening from or window where we were sitting was the true sense of old feeling Portland.
