So many reviews state the same facts about the delightful boutique hotel. I needed a handicapped room. It was the best one I have used. Potty seat for the toilet, bench for the shower(altho I pulled it out to use as seating at the sink. Lovely complete suite. The only thing I can complain about was the lighting in the bathroom. There are candy jars on all the tables in the breakfast room & front desk. Not mentioned in previous reviews, activities every night. When we arrived, there was wine tasting. Next night-beer tasting. Next night ice cream sundays. Next night movie night with popcorn. the front desk staff were delightful, knowledgeable, helpful & friendly. Parking is a little tight.

Room Tip: Our handicapped room was on first floor near the check in desk. We were not disturbed by any noise.

Thank you for staying with us and we are glad you found the room accommodating for your needs. We appreciate the feedback and will look into the bathroom lighting. We are glad you were able to enjoy our nightly guest receptions and we love getting that opportunity to mingle with guests and share our local favorite beers and wines. I'll pass the kind words along to our staff and we hope to get the opportunity to welcome you back on your next trip to Portland.

Take care,
Misty

So clean and colorful with a great location in the Alphabet District. Many nearby shops and restaurants. Streetcar stop steps away makes it easy to visit Powell Books, Pioneer Square and much more.
Our room was delightfully appointed and comfortable. Our room had a full kitchen. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 3 nights. Staff were very helpful. The location is brilliant as the tram stops right outside which gets you into town in 10 minutes. And the hotel give you free tickets each day for the Tram. The rooms were amazing and very large with a kitchenette as well. And best of all the parking was free which is great as parking can be expensive in Portland. Loads of restaurants nearby but our favourite was the Lucky Labrador brewery 5 minutes down the road. Thanks again for a great stay.

This was our family of three's second stay at the Inn at Northrup Station, and our latest experience was every bit as good as our first. There wasn't anything not to like about the Inn, from its location (convenient to 23rd Street and the great shopping and dining options), proximity to the street car line (the N/S line runs in front of the Inn) and free passes, well-stocked continental breakfast, free parking, large rooms, funky decor, and the list goes on and on.

We stayed in a king suite, and the room was very large, with a kitchenette and separate desk area, a fold-out couch, and a small balcony. The beds, even the convertible couch, were very comfortable and everyone had no problems with their sleep for our three-night stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and all the amenities (mentioned above) made our stay super-easy.

Breakfast includes an assortment of the usual continental foods, including breads and bagels for toasting, yogurt, cheese (Tillamook!), cold cereals, waffles, juice, and coffee and tea (from Steven Smith Teamaker). A monitor inside the breakfast/lounge area lets you know when the next street car is due, and the stop is less than 20 yards from the front door of the Inn.

Downtown Portland is maybe 15 minutes away on the street car, so you aren't losing anything by not paying for a more central hotel, plus you have the large selection of top-quality restaurants within a five-minute walk of the Inn to choose from, and a good selection of boutiques and shops to browse on 23rd. Portland is one of our favorite cities to visit (we are from Seattle), and won't consider anywhere else to stay, as we have found everything we need at the Inn at Northrup Station.

You really must stay here to believe it. All the hearty reviews are indeed descriptions of a to good to be true place to stay, in NW Portland. Easy to navigate off & on from I-405 in getting to this boutique hotel. We live 3 hours away; however, always look forward to returning to Portland where we lived & called home.

When we first walked into the Inn, we were searching for a place to stay while planning total joint surgery @ Good Samaritan Hospital, a few blocks away. Was able to walk back & forth to the front door of the hospital which made this out of town undertaking bearable.

We were first shown a 2nd floor Standard King Suite by Rachael Johnson. It was a busy weekday morning but she took the time to show us around. We were impressed with the overall decor of the building. Some rooms have outside balconies w/table & chairs facing Northrup Street, where the Max Streetcar goes by. In the end we decided on an upper floor that face a back-street parking lot. We choose a king size suite w/ a ½ balcony. It’s all very neighborly including beautiful landscaping & plenty of trees everywhere.

We immediately noticed the spacious, clean, colorful furnishings that are in every room. There is actual real artwork hanging about, appealing window coverings & incredible kitchenettes that continue to amaze in their functionality. Full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher. Every room is completely equipped with silverware, dishes & cookware. A Keurig coffee/tea maker, 2 wall TV’s with a writing desk, chair, sofa couch & ottoman. T

The king size bed is equipped with a mattress from Oregon Mattress Company, which will not disappoint. The linens & pillows are over the top, especially if you are into the uplifting vibrant retro colors. Good indoor lightening even during the cloudy days that we experienced in March. The heating & AC units are in every room can be a bit noisy but do a good job of clearing the air or heating you up during cold spells.

A coffee machine in the lobby with real glass mugs to use instead of paper cups. Free USA newspapers, locally sourced continental breakfast, free WiFi, USB connections on each & every-night stand, fabulous shower with lush towels & amenities. After all of that..... you do feel like they thought of everything!! From there we could do no wrong when booking rooms in March, April, May and now September.

Throughout our stays we have been thoroughly impressed by every guest services, front desk, housekeeping & maintenance staff member. This building was built in the 70’s; however, has gone through incredible remodeling which has only made the this "boutique" Inn better than ever. Complimentary MAX Street Car tickets are provided & check-out time is noon.

Our gratitude to a handful of the staff we think are pretty special & have made our stays memorable. Cory, Will, Hayden, Jazell, Misty, Kyle, Kim, Jordon & the famed Jayden Storms, who has been our lifeline over the months. We feel lucky to be part of the “In Crowd” & always feel like we are coming home when we walk in to the Inn @ Northrup Station.

Room Tip: Rooms facing north can be quieter
