Owner description: The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is a nationally-renowned science center providing science learning to a range of audiences. Our programming is guided by OMSI’s long-term vision to promote a healthy, innovative, and sustainable society where everyone is prepared to participate in civic life. OMSI’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming helps visitors and program participants master 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration. We achieve this vision through exhibits, classes, camps, traveling educators, and adult programs around the state, making OMSI a trusted educational resource to all Oregonians.

We bought an unlimited "family pass" for our relatives to get out and enjoy this wonderful and learning/knowledge based venue. This was primarily because I started going to OMSI at age 13, attending their labs, and learning all available and imaginable to propel my educational foundation forward in my early growing and yearning-to-learn years.

There is a lot to see in this museum for children and adults. There are a lot of hands on experiences. But what I like most about OMSI are the adult classes offered at night on many different topics. I attended classes on topics such as, the eclipse, volcanos, and pregnancy. There are also classes held at different locations in Oregon, which makes it convenient for residents to attend. They also have an awesome web site, which is always up to date.

Great for families - my kids are 8 and 10 years old and really enjoyed their visit. Especially like the submarine tour.

We were three adults and a 6 yo girl. We spent about 3 hours here. We toured the submarine, played in the experimental science area for kids, did the lab and went to the space area. There is plenty of interactive exhibits to get kids engaged and excited. Beautiful walk outside by the river too.

Our group of 6, ages adult, 12,10,9,6 spent easily 4 hours here without doing the submarine tour. Everyone learned something new and enjoyed all the hands-on science projects and mind-puzzles. We especially enjoy the physics and chemistry labs.
