It is rare when they don't have a book you are looking for. There are four levels of books and a coffee cafe if you need sustenance to keep looking! The people working here are super friendly and very helpful. Keep and eye on visiting authors, they draw some really good authors from time to time and worth coming for. Parking can be a challenge but there are a couple parking garages nearby and it's right on the mass trans street car line. It's a must see place if in Portland! Happy searching!!

WOW - to see an old icon - a book store like you grew up,around 30 years ago and still going strong in this digital age is remarkable. Well done.
What was an eye opener for me was the amount of young adults there - I thought they were stuck in social media and gadgets - how refreshing to see them here.

Huge book store! My daughter could of stayed here all day. 3 or 4 floors coffee lounge. Very helpful employees. Parking can be a bit of a problem. They have their own parking but it can be tricking getting into. Definitely recommend if your in the area and like to read
