A few coworkers and I recently went here for lunch and we really enjoyed the food. Most lunch entrees come with your choice of soup (egg flour or hot and sour), your choice of rice (fried rice or white rice) and the entrée, most of which are only $9. This is a good deal and as such this place gets pretty busy. If I had one critique is the service was ok at best. The food came out one at a time, rather than all together and it took quite a while. The servers also seemed disinterested. That being said the food and the value is what made this place for us and why we will come back. We had the orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, kung pao and the Mongolian beef. We all really enjoyed everything.

The place is called duck house but they don’t serve duck when you order, the waiter said you have to order 1 or 2 days in advance for duck, that’s ridiculous, if you’re just visiting for a day or two. The servings are big but not the taste , it’s overrated. Our waiter was kind and helpful though.

Started well, informed about 30 min wait and this was about correct. Ordered meals to include for starter, mains. 1 main came up before starter. When waiter was asked why the starter had not been served first he spilled a load of bulls**t about the Kitchen producing the meals randomly due to workload. Eventually the starter arrived 5 mins after one of the mains. Then my main arrived but not the rice. Rice appeared after I had eaten the main. They need timing lessons and waiters trained in customer service. 1st and last visit to this place on this trip. They could learn much from Thai Peacock in the art of producing food on time and in order in a busy service.

There was a 30 minute wait so expected good food. Was not impressed, our entree came out first, then the appetizers came out much later, one at a time. It took so long for the apps that we actually asked for them to be boxed to go, which they did not do. The entree was so-so (it was marked as a “must have”), the red bean paste bun was all right, the dumplings were the star compared to everything else.

The place is packed and have a very lively atmosphere. I'd love to explore more of the menu, but soup dumplings and the drypot mushrooms were amazing. other smaller dishes were passable.
