Oceanside, OR is more remote then we expected. We had no phone service and there was no internet connection anywhere. Tucked away behind a mountain on the coast this sleepy little village is very fun for a family vacation away from it all. We travelled with our small children and another family who also had children. This house was perfect. The layout is brilliant. The bottom story has a shower to wash off your sandy feet. The second level has two bedrooms for adults and a third bedroom with bunk beds for the kids. The top floor has the kitchen and living area and it was more then enough space to accomodate our group. We played at the beach most of the time which was just a short walk from the house. Then back to the house to play board games, watch movies, and read. I recommend bringing all your food with you. It is far to a store or restaurant.
It was VERY windy while we were there. The kids were still able to build castles and play in the sand but this is more of an exploring beach then a laying out spot. Cape Meares nearby is worth checking out too.
