It's been a good long while since I've stayed a hotel in Lincoln City so thought I'd stay at a quaint little place I found a few years ago ....and unwittingly made a reservation at the Seagull Motel instead.
The Staff were very nice and personable & the view/location can't be beat. Beautiful ocean view just above the area of the beach that allows cars. This can be interesting as cars get stuck and tow trucks drive out to the rescue. It was nice to set the chairs (covered in towels) in front of the windows to watch the people & the surf.
Unfortunately, my room was absolutely disgusting. It smelled like someone saturated the room with Febreeze. It was windy at the coast so I opened up the windows in hopes of airing the stink of cheap air freshener out but after two hours, the smell was still nauseatingly strong.
The carpet & the chairs were discolored & stained. I placed towels over the chairs in order to sit in front of the ocean front windows. Took my shoes off for bit in order to change clothes and stepped in a large wet area on the rug. I told myself it was a puddle of Febreeze and put on new socks.
The idea of sleeping in the bed was not at all appealing at this point. Thankfully, my dog's waterproof blanket and extra camping gear in my car so...It's been a good long while since I've stayed a hotel in Lincoln City so thought I'd stay at a quaint little place I found a few years ago ....and unwittingly made a reservation at the Seagull Motel instead.

-Toilet did not flush well & had to double flush every time I used.
-Water pressure & hot water were good.
-Put my left over lunch in the mini-refrigerator (middle shelf) and by the time I pulled it out for dinner it was really, really cold. Peeked in the door but did not see a knob to adjust the temperature so I put my food on the lowest shelf, furthest away from the freezer. The next morning my food was frozen. This would have been okay since there's a microwave ....but I blew a breaker while blow drying my hair which killed the power in my room. There were two breakers in the room (no door/cover over them) so tried flipping them. One was for the bathroom area so I was able to finish drying my hair. No idea what the other breaker was for. It did not restore power to my room so the heater, lights, microwave & refrigerator were out of commission .....so no left overs for breakfast. It was 9am and the office was not open so I could not tell anyone about the power in my room. I put my keys in the drop slot and left.More
