My husband and I were excited to stop in for a beer at the brewery while in Gold Beach. The place is super tiny but worth the stop. The man serving the beer let us try all on tap. He was really friendly and told us a little about the area. We stopped in here twice on our stay in Gold Beach....even filling up our growler to take home. Excited to look for their taps at local places around Eugene.
Very small place just outside of town but had very good beer for excellent prices. The brewer was there so he gave us a tour and then gave us a few ideas on what to do over the Thanksgiving weekend in Gold Beach. Will be on the lookout for Arch Rock beers when I go home to the Willamette Valley
Within walking distance of our campground, we stumbled across this tiny award winning microbrewery. This brewery is everything the breweries in Portland used to be before the 'craft brew' became a craze. It's what those who love craft beer love to discover, an out of the way small sized operation making magnificent brew. Their Pale Ale beat out the 'big guys', so it's a MUST. However, I preferred their pilsner. Yes, they make a pilsner (most microbreweries don't).
Best of all a glass is $3. It's probably the best beer value in the state.
Hats off to Larry & Marjie, the dynamic couple who now own and operate Arch Rock Brewing Company! Having stumbled upon (Google map searched for 'brewery') this unsuspect location along a multipurposed road trip dotted with breweries, we were pleasantly surprised by their particularly warm PNW hospitality you may or may not know what I'm referring to. The three beers currently on tap were all above average in their quality so as to not detract from a somewhat limited selection for a thirsty visitor; Lager, Porter, Pale Ale. Not sounding incredibly unique on paper, these brews came to life in the glass and made for an unforgettable detour. The tap room is an industrial setting - vats and equipment - with few (if any?) seats available...which is great because the owners engage with their guests making everything all the more memorable. Had a great time enjoying theirs beers and talking about the beautiful state of Oregon! Thanks again!
Best,
~S
We absolutely love this place. It's a production place and only has a tiny little tasting room. It's locally owned and wonderful beer. We will make this a part of every time we visit the area.
I go to this brewery regularly. Their beer is always fresh and some of the tastiest beer I have ever consumed. Top Notch beer, great service and in one of the coolest coastal towns in Oregon.
