I should start roght away by mentioning that we travel in a popup trailer - it might be slightly better in an RV...This was the noisiest RV park we have been to. Not that this is their fault, but you have your choice of a busy railway in the back of the park, the plane corridor for both commercial and military flights passing just by, and a street busy woth a lot of trucks all day long. I wouldn't mind I guess if it was only in the daytime, but evening and nights were the same.
We moved from the front of the park to the back, and got away from the road, but it brings you closer to the railway...

Besides that, I also removed one star for the slow and/or non-existing wifi. At $55 per night, I expect that to be fully functional!

On a positive note, bathrooms were spotless and both the pool and the spa were very enjoyable with that hot weather.

In conclusion, it is an average+ campground (too expensive for what it is), but the environment is too bad for a peaceful experience.

Stayed at the Portland-Fairview RV park overnight in August 2016 in our 2006 RV.
At check-in, we were asked for the AGE of the RV, and I had the strong impression that it was looked down upon.
Most of the rigs there were almost new and upwards of $300k. We felt out of place.
Other than that, it's VERY CLEAN, many, many grassy areas for the pets.
The park has over 400 sites in different sections.

There's only 1 area for trash/recycling, at the bottom of the hill.

The pool was nice but the showers at the pool need maintenance, my mom had a shower head come off and hit her when she turned the water on.

The spaces are large and paved, as are the roads in the park.

Laundry facilities on site but not free.
Pets were allowed at no additional cost which was nice.

Easy access to I-84.

** Note** there is an additional FEE for reserving less than 30 days in advance.

Very nice urban park on 3 levels. Lower two seem to be mostly longer term. Upper level busy with short stays and over nighters. Long concrete level pull thru's with parking along side. Grass between sites. Paved streets. Easy to maneuver within park. Nice pool, laundry, club house and restroom facilities . About $50/night with Good Sam. Easy drive East to Multnomah Falls (gorgeous-stay on 84 to exit 31 and park in center parking lot /historic hey parking a nightmare)and Bonneville Damn & Fish Hatchery. About 2 he drive west to Astoria & Seaside. Portland 15 minutes depending on traffic

Worth the 10 rating. Close to gorge falls and dams. Day drive to Mt St Helens. MAX light rail close in Gresham, take to zoo, rose gardens and downtown. Use free shuttle at zoo to go to gardens. Sites spaced nicely and long enough. Do not feel jammed in. Rest rooms really clean. May have plane noise, but it did not bother us.

I am giving Portland Fairview a low score because of how poorly the staff and the parent company ENCORE / 1000 Trails / rvonthego.com treat their customers. The park charges a premium price for the full amenities it offers. When it became clear that the cable was not functioning when I booked and it would not be available during my stay, I asked for a partial refund. I was taken aback by the staffs’ response and I called the parent company. NO ONE answers the customer service lines and NO ONE returns calls. If being treated well and getting all the services you have paid for is important to you, stay at another campground not owned by ENCORE / 1000 Trails / rvonthego.com.
