Portland-Fairview RV Park
Reviewed 18 May 2016

I stayed at this park for several months. My work sent me to Portland on business and it was the best option to take the RV (I like my own surroundings vs the sterile hotel environment). There was a great swimming pool, nice laundry facilities, nice staff to assist as necessary. The rates were very good parks greatly inflate the electric prices, not the case at Fairview RV park. The rates were very reasonable and the park is very well kept. There are fountains and lakes with ducks and other wildlife--just an all around great place to stay.

Room Tip: This was an RV park vs a hotel.

This park could be so much better, but, because of the personalities, they scare everyone off. Its like a concentration camp. we come here only because we can't get into the park we want.
They say they are pet friendly, but, no where in the park is there a doggie run or any bags to pick up after your pet. We are responsible pet owners and we do pick up after our pets, but, no where is there any bags available by the park, in case you run out.
Under the current management and staff we will always pick "THE OTHER" park first and this one as a back up

Not a family friendly park. Moved from down south, and stayed at the park while looking for a house. The management seems to dislike children, and pets. We ended up having to stay there longer than expected. The manager has major double standards, seems that if you are over a certain age the rules don't apply, or they are more lenient, and will speak down to you. He also snoops around RV's when no one is there. Their free Wi-Fi doesn't seem to work unless you are right next to it. They seem to invest money into repainting rocks instead of fixing up the bathroom/shower room to make them safer. No mats on the tile floors and none of them have dry floors when you get out. Major slips!! The place in general is nice, could be better, just miss managed. Would recommend only if that changed or if they were desperate. Lots of long term residents that say the same just worried about repercussions of saying anything, as they have no other place to move to.

This park has nice grounds, older shade trees and a nice little pond BUT first off if you are staying for a month or longer they require background checks that cost money and are non refundable. I've never heard of such a thing. Everyone getting a back ground check must be present. This park is not on one level and there is a steep short hill to go down or up to get into half or more of the park. It wasn't a problem for us, but I'm sure it is for some big rigs. I'm sure they will hit the ground on some part of their RV. There are train tracks that are right next to the park that are very loud and run through the night. Also they require your RV to be 10 years or newer, and they sure stick to it. I don't believe in that rule because there are many rv's that are very well taken care of that are older. Older ones should be approved as long as they are taken care of. We stayed two nights here and because my husband worked and was not able to get to the office before they closed for their back ground check, we left and stayed somewhere else. We won't go back to this park.

Overall the park was clean but the sites are quite close together. The people are friendly and there is a host on duty to help you if you arrive after hours. Definitely more of a long term stay type park. Checkout on time or you will be charged extra!
