The Suite is a full 1-bedroom apartment above the store overlooking the vineyards. The apartment is well-stocked with all the necessary bedroom, bathroom and kitchen furnishings. There are 2 outside balconies that offer lovely views. The entire setting is quiet and peaceful.
The Suite is about an hour from the downtown area of Portland and a little farther from the Oregon coast. Everything is very convenient and a couple of close, small towns offer shopping opportunities. There are , of course, many close places for wine-tasting and Red Ridge also has a tasting room for both wine and their olive oils.
Our favorite nearby town (less than 10 miles) was McMinneville. It has a quaint old-time downtown with a number of excellent restaurants and shopping and there is also a 10 theater movie complex.
Other close attractions include a casino and the Evergreen Air Museum.
Whether you want to tour Portland, drive the coast, test your luck, watch a movie or just have a quiet day with a beautiful view, this is a great place to make your temporary home base.

Room Tip: The Suite only sleeps 2. For more guests, the cottage is a great place too.

I frequently use Tripadvisor for research, but have never written a review. I never know what to say, however, I could not let this one go.
We stayed at the Red Ridge Cottage for 1 night in October and we were blown away. The cottage was incredibly clean and well stocked, the staff was very kind and knowledgeable and the views were out of this world. Every window looked out onto vineyard.
Main bedroom was large with a large bathroom and a king size bed. Second bedroom was small but had a large closet and was next door to a full size bath with bathtub. There was a full size laundry room as well. Large living room and large, eat in kitchen. There was also a grill.
Back porch looked out onto the valley and was the perfect place to sip wine in the evening and coffee in the morning.
I have high expectations, but also realize that every place is not perfect for every person. I did want to share and give Red Ridge a great review because I loved this place and my 70+ year old parents loved this place. We will be back!

We stayed at the Red Ridge 1 bedroom suite in August, 2016. The property is gorgeous with a winetasting building, a nursery, olive mill, and gift shop. The apartment sits on top of the gift shop and the "walls" on either side of the living area are all windows with doors leading to balconies on either side; one looks over the nursery with a fountain and one looks over the lavender fields and up at the grapevine covered hills. It was so relaxing enjoying our mornings and evenings on the property and it was so nice to walk around the property at the end of the day. You have a lot of privacy. The only other people on the property after closing are the people staying in the cottage (which you can't see from the suite) so it was nice to have coffee on our deck in the mornings or have a glass of wine sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the wine tasting lawn before barbequing dinner on "our" patio. The pictures really don't do the place justice. Staying there actually tainted our wine tasting experiences at other wineries since even if the view was beautiful there, we wanted to return to our lovely serene place with its own gorgeous views. We have travelled a lot and stayed at many properties in the world and this is one of our favorites. All of the employees at the gift shop were very nice and the olive mill tour was enjoyable too.

We stayed in the Garden suite for one night as we travelled around Oregon. After two nights in Portland and two nights at the shore with the crowds it was so nice to enjoy the solitude offered by our stay here. We cooked fresh red wheat pasta and olive oil from the gift shop along with a fresh loaf of bread. This paired with the complimentary bottle of Durante Vineyards wine made for a fabulous dinner. Afterwards we enjoyed the remainder of our wine while sitting in the Adirondack chairs that overlook the Vineyard and Mt. Hood. The apartment itself is amazing as they have so many windows to allow you a view from just about anywhere that you stand. We enjoyed fresh ground coffee (coffee and cream were provided) and lavender shortbread cookies (also from the gift shop) for our breakfast on the deck overlooking the lavender fields. This was an awesome place to stay before our vineyard day trip. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Garden Suite perfect for a couple

I can't think of a better way to enjoy the wine country of Oregon then to be staying at one of two lovely accommodations at Red Ridge Farm and Olive Press, adjacent to Durant Vineyards Tasting Room. The views of the surrounding hills, covered in neat rows of grape vines are fabulous and tranquil and you can literally walk to 4 other tasting rooms in the immediate area. You are also just a short drive from some incredible dining - most of which is "locavore" - fresh from the surrounding farms.

Room Tip: One bedroom apartment over the Olive Press store or a two bedroom cottage - you can't go wrong.
