My family (3 of us) arrived just before Christmas and were happy with the location because of the water view from the front lawn of the owners' house. The guest cottage had a view through the glass-front door; no privacy here. We took care of that by rigging a spare sheet up as a curtain. A small central room with old sofa and a large tv with cable was the shared space along with a dining room table and six small, rather rickety, chairs; one was broken upon arrival but repaired(?). The heater was wonderful; it looked like a log-burning wood stove, but was gas powered. The controls are under the heating compartment; notice the little handle below. Once we figured it out, very nice indeed.
The kitchen was galley-style with a stove top of two small, electric coil burners, one of which was "out of commission" due to someone having placed something plastic on the burner. The back burner in question smoked profusely when heating up; didn't want to set off the alarm, so we used the front one only. There was a counter-top oven, but no baking tray was found in any cabinet. Also, no pots and pans were found except for one tiny saucepan. That's all! So, when we got up the following morning, ready to make breakfast, my brother had to go to Safeway to buy a frying pan; fortunately the shops are closeby. I contacted Vacasa and we were told that they reimburse us for the cost of any pans, but the purchase of two frying pans, a two-quart saucepan and a muffin tin was only $23.22, so we just decided to keep them. Fortunately, there was a toaster, a Crock-Pot and a great microwave. If not, our Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners would have been pretty sad. All in all, the kitchen just needs a decent stove and pans.
The bedrooms were sufficient with comfortable beds; an A+ in this category. I have a bad back and this is often my biggest complaint; not here! Yay! My father and brother had no real complaints either.
There was only one bathroom, but plenty of towels in the closet next to the shower. Plenty of hot water.
All in all, the house was in a great location near town, but off by the bay. The house needs pots and pans, seriously! It was ridiculous that we had to provide our own. They need to buy a newer sofa and to get some sturdier kitchen chairs (from Goodwill even). Beds are great! A very nice laundry room with a new washer and dryer. Very convenient. We thought it was a little overpriced, but this was probably due to the holiday and our late reservation. Good for a smaller family; lots of beds, but little common space. Enjoy!
Close to my moms and pet friendly that was a plus. What they don't tell you in the listing is the hot tub is literally ten feet from the owners house. You look in their house while you hot tub thats just weird. My biggest complaint is that the home security system beeped for two days. They sent a super nice house keeper to fix the issue but refused to give her the codes for the security system. She called and followed up as well as came to the house. The care taker that actually had the code was RUDE and NOT HELPFUL concerned with taking the boat out and didn't care it had been beeping. It is listed as three bed room when in fact it is not. the third bed room is a cubby off the living room with a bed and access to the bathroom inside the cubby. We hung a sheet for privacy. Pretty ghetto for a beach vacation rental. To access the bathroom you go in someones room. As far as pet friendly place to stay it was great my dog had a blast but the listing is deceiving. Beach access is dangerous to say the least.

Cute, private enough, super clean. My husband and I agreed that we'd stay here again. The grounds and structures were super clean, with everything we needed. The hot water in the kitchen was hard to turn on but it wasn't a huge issue. We didn't mind providing laundry soap, toilet paper and paper towels when we left for incoming tenants because we used what was there. The price was right and the place was super clean and very tidy. The instructions provided with the rental were clear and not overwhelming to read. We were impressed that the place was all it was written up to be.
