We did a one hour horse back ride to the beach. Was very enjoyable and all had a good time. The ride seemed short just a ride to beach and Back to Campground. But would recommend if you are staying in cannon beach.

This is probably our 10th visit to Sea Ranch RV Park and will come back again. That being said, there is considerable room for improvement that people need to know about.

We last visited over Labor Day weekend. Unsurprisingly busy yet the management utterly failed to plan accordingly. The best example was with the trash. Instead of dropping a few extra dollars for additional dumpsters, they went with just the one. Of course it was overflowing on day 1. The solution was to toss the maintenance person on top of the pile and start stomping. By days 2 and 3, they had one of the wranglers compressing the trash using a loader from the stable. By day 4 the can is again overflowing. Nasty.

The other issue to resolve is their inability to maintain the vegetation in many of the RV sites. Twice we couldn't get our 22' trailer into a site because the tree limbs weren't trimmed. When we asked to have them trimmed, we were simply told no. As a side note, they advertise RV sites but will fail to tell you you cannot fit both your trailer AND tow vehicle in together. Since there is no overflow parking, this creates a problem as noted by previous reviews. Be sure to ask about this when reserving a space!

Lastly, the resort advertises many amenities such as cable TV, WiFi, massage, store and coffee shop. This is not entirely correct. The cable TV hasn't worked in the 2 years we have been coming and is evidently due to damage to 2 of the connectors in the past. It actually appears the cost is just something the owners don't want to incur.

The WiFi exists but is so slow it is unusable for all aspects and I mean all. You can't open weather apps, get the news or check social media let alone download or stream media/music. You're better off with 4G.

The coffee shop, store and massage are open sporadically in the summer at best. Don't count on any being open.

Overall there is huge potential here with a little care. The location cannot be beaten and you are 5 min from the beach and town. The owners just need to do some basic planning and maintenance to take this to an acceptable level.

Sea Ranch is very interesting. It is in a great location in Cannon Beach within walking distance of both the ocean and downtown restaurants and shops. Our space was ok, but you really are on top of each other in most of the RV sites. There are a few tent sites where you are a little private, but not many. The bathrooms were clean and the staff nice. Nice but not sure how competent! We had a tent site and an RV site reserved and the tent site still had someone in it at 8pm the day we were supposed to get it. They told us to look at another space and by the time we got back they had given it away. We did end up getting another site but what a pain. They also charge you full price for an entire site to add a tent into your RV site. Pretty crazy when we offered to do that since they didn't have the site we reserved! The bathrooms were clean and the park decent. We had a really good time, but it was definitely not secluded at all.

We booked a site for a 21' trailer at no time were we asked how long was our vehicle towing the trailer. We were unable to park the trailer in the spot reserved.

The owner told us it was our responsibility to ask this information. We have never had a issue before when reserving a spot for the length of our trailer.

The night clerk gave us another spot but was told we had to move the next day. When I went into office to relay information to the owner that the previous clerk told us the owner was extremely rude not only to me but all the other customers in the office.

Due to a commitment we were unable to move our trailer until after 2 pm that day. The owner said, "I guess I'll just have you towed at your expense." I said we have already paid you in full and the night clerk understood our time requirements.

Would avoid this place! Not only due to the owner being rude but the sites are extremely close to one another, she charges per person per vehicle per site.

We found this place by accident and were pleased to get the last spot. A five to ten minute walk to the beach, surrounding shops and restaurants. It is worth the money to be close enough to walk places. We were not able to go on the horseback riding trip due to time constraints but will definitely stay here again and ride horses on the beach. The attendant was friendly and thorough about our stay. Spaces are close together and there are firepits available. Bathrooms and showers are available as are laundry facilities. Reserve your spot if you can as summer is extremely busy and places for RVs and trailers/tents are hard to find along this part of the coast.
