My wife and I had dinner in the hotel's restaurant, even though we were not staying there overnight. The service was fantastic and the food was beautiful and delicious. The chef prepares a 6 or 7 course meal every night. Six courses is just $49 per person which is good for the quality and accompanying atmosphere.

Be sure to reserve a week ahead of time.

It is a dry township, so they do not sell alcohol but will serve whatever wine you bring.

Thank you so much for your visit and your feedback. We’re so glad you were able to treat yourselves to a special dinner at Glenlaurel. We are so lucky to have a gracious staff and a chef who takes pride in his work! We do accept reservations 24 hours ahead of your arrival (for dinner), however during busier times (holidays, weekends, and during the month of October), we suggest calling 2-5 days ahead to ensure we have a spot for you. Since your visit, we received our liquor license and now offer a nice selection of beer, wine and scotch. We look forward to having you as our guests again to experience our recent upgrades at the property.

We spent 2 nights at Glen Laurel recently to celebrate my husband's birthday. This Scottish themed inn has all the luxuries one could want, and fabulous cuisine as well. There are several types of accommodations: in the manor house, and free-standing crofts and cottages. The crofts and cottages, each with their own hot tubs, give a real sense of secluded privacy, while the manor house (where we stayed in the MacDonald suite) offers the convenience of not needing to go outside to get to breakfast or dinner. The township in which the Inn is located has been 'dry' for many years, so you are encouraged to bring your own alcohol to enjoy during Happy Hour in the bar before dinner. The township has just changed to allow alcohol sales, and Glen Laurel has applied for their liquor license, but they say they will still gladly allow you to 'bring your own'. After Happy Hour, dinner time is announced by the playing of bagpipe music - sometimes recorded, sometimes a live performance. And don't miss the wonderful multi-course dinnners. The chef is excellent. Also excellent are the walking and hiking and river-based activities at the nearby Hocking Hills attractions. We can't wait to go back again.

Thank you so much for your positive review. We are delighted that you had an enjoyable stay and exceptional dining experience. Glenlaurel is fortunate to have a stellar staff and our chef’s take great pride in preparing a delectable menu.

We do have our liquor license and as a guest, you may have libations in your wee accommodations, but we are unable to allow guests to bring their own wine, beer or liquor into the dining room or pub. We have a nice selection of wine, beer and scotch, which pair well with our six or seven-course dinner’s. Liquor is served nightly at 6pm in the Loch Ness Pub.

Glen Laural is the ultimate romantic, stress-free place to share with your loved one. The cottages are wonderful. They think of everything! The food was delicious. The manor house very quaint and quiet. The service was outstanding. It was definitely worth the price! If you want some place special, this is the place. It is the perfect place to get away from the busy lifestyle and focus on your loved one.

Room Tip: The cottages are spacious and delightful. The view of the gorge from the Muir was beautiful. We saw...

We have been to Glen Laurel 5 times over the past 4 years and will continue to return. This was our first Dickens dinner, 5 courses of excellent food and a wonderful storyteller reading the Dickens Scrooge classic in between courses.

Our cottage was clean and comfortable but we thought the dark walls were too much and will stay in a cottage with lighter colored walls next time. As we age light is very important for reading and both my husband and I struggled with an inabilty to read in the evening.

Privacy and peacefulness abound at Glen Laurel. It's a wonderful place to escape from the stress of our busy lives!
