My husband and I spent a weekend at Shawnee State Park. It proved to be a relaxing weekend retreat. We stayed at the lodge and found the room to be large and clean (though the walls were a bit thin). The park offered nice walking trails and several small lakes/ponds.
The indoor pool area was nice though it seemed we got there just in time to share it with every kid in the lodge.
The restaurant wasn't the greatest. The view and service were excellent - the food well dinner was lacking but breakfast was OK.
The only regret I have about the trip is taking time to visit Serphent Mound on the way home. This is difficult to find and proved to be a huge waste of time.
